There are four types of friction: static, sliding, rolling, and fluid friction.
Static, sliding, and rolling friction occur between solid surfaces.
Static friction is strongest, followed by sliding friction, and then rolling friction, which is weakest.
Fluid friction occurs in fluids, which are liquids or gases

Passive Voice – When the action expressed by the verb is received by the subject, it is passive voice. Passive voice is used when the doer of the action is not known and the focus of the sentence is on the action and not the subject.
Passive Voice Examples:
- Eggs are laid by hens.
- Nests are built by birds.

Aufbau principle tells us that the lowest energy orbitals get filled by electrons first. After the lower energy orbitals are filled, the electrons move on to higher energy orbitals. The problem with this rule is that it does not tell about the three 2p orbitals and the order that they will be filled in.
According to Hund’s rule:
- Before the double occupation of any orbital, every orbital in the sub level is singly occupied.
- For the maximization of total spin, all electrons in a single occupancy orbital have the same spin.
An electron will not pair with another electron in a half-filled orbital as it has the ability to fill all its orbitals with similar energy. Many unpaired electrons are present in atoms which are at the ground state. If two electrons come in contact they would show the same behaviour as two magnets do. The electrons first try to get as far away from each other as possible before they have to pair up.

Different types of RAM and ROM
Random Access Memory (RAM) is classified into two types. They are
- DRAM (Dynamic Random Access Memory) – DRAM Is commonly used as the main memory for the computer. Inside an integrated circuit, each DRAM memory cell consists of a transistor and a capacitor and a data bit is stored in the capacitor. Because transistors often leak a small amount, the condensers gradually discharge, allowing the information stored in it to drain thus, DRAM has to be refreshed every few milliseconds (given a new electronic charge) to maintain data.
- SRAM (Static Random Access Memory) – SRAM is composed of 4 to 6 transistors. It holds data in the memory as long as power is supplied to the device, unlike DRAM, which needs to be regularly refreshed. As such, SRAM is more costly but quicker, making DRAM the more widespread memory in computer systems.
Read-Only Memory has three types in it. They are
- PROM–PROM or programmable ROM is a computer memory chip that can be programmed once it is created. When the PROM is programmed, the written information is permanent and cannot be removed or erased.
- EPROM–Erasable Programmable Read-Only Memory, EPROM is a non-volatile memory chip, developed in 1971 by Dov Frohman. When exposed to ultraviolet light, an EPROM can be reprogrammed if necessary, but otherwise no new data would be accepted or saved. Computer manufacturers use EPROM when it might be necessary to modify the data stored on the EPROM. EPROM chips are not commonly used in computers and have been replaced by EEPROM chips.
- EEPROM–The EEPROM is an electrically erasable programmable read-only memory which can be erased and reprogrammed using an electrical charge. George Perlegos developed EEPROM while at Intel in 1978, and unlike most of the memory inside a computer, this memory remembers data when the power is switched off. EEPROM was a substitute for the PROM and EPROM chips and is used for the BIOS of later computers designed after 1994. Using an EEPROM machine helps a computer user to update the BIOS on their device without the need to open the computer or remove chips.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is being widely recognised to be the power that will fuel the future global digital economy. AI in the past few years has gained geo-strategic importance and a large number of countries are striving hard to stay ahead with their policy initiatives to get their country ready. India’s own AI strategy identifies AI as a n opportunity and solution provider for inclusive economic growth and social development. The report also identifies the importance of skills-based education (as opposed to knowledge intensive education), and the value of project related work in order to “effectively harness the potential of AI in a sustainable manner” to make India’s next generation ‘AI ready

- In the given case,it has been stated that the Marketing Manager had resigned from his post and such resignation was not recorded in the books of Accounts of the organisation.
- The treatment of such resignation,of not recording it,by the organisation is correct and justified.
- In the books of accounts, only those transactions are recorded which can be expressed in monetary terms ignoring the qualitative aspects of such transactions.
- The resignation of Marketing Manager is a case of Human Resource Management and therefore, cannot be recorded in the books of accounts.

Treaty of Versailles was a peace treaty which brought World War I to an end. The Treaty ended the war between Germany and the Allied Powers. It was signed on 28 June 1919 in Versailles. There was dissatisfaction in Italy and Germany with the terms of the Treaty of Versailles. Several harsh restrictions were imposed on Germany. She had to a huge war indemnity and her mineral rich areas of Saar and Rhineland was occupied by France. All German colonies in Asia and Africa were forcefully captured. Her military power was also reduced.
It is said that the hearsh terms of the treaty of Versailles sowed the seeds of the Second World War.

Considera dipole with charges +q and -q placed in a uniform eletric field as shown in figure.
In unifor electric field, dipole experiences a torque τ, which is given by
τ = p×E
where p is electric dipole moment. Torque τ will tend to rotate the dipole if p is not parallel to E.
Suppose an external torque τext is applied to neutalize this torque and rotates the dipole from an angle θo to θ1
at an infinitesimal angular speed and without angular acceleration. The amount of workdon by the external torque will be given by
W =
This work is stored as the potential energy of the system.
We can then assosciate potential energy U(θ) with an inclination θ of the dipole. Inorder to choose the
reference angular position where potential Energy is considered as zero, we select θo as π/2 as the reference angular position.
We can then write U(θ) = pE( cos(π/2) - cosθ) = -pE cosθ = -p·E
when θ = 0 , i.e., p is aligned in the direction of E, potential energy is minimum.
when θ = π , i.e., p is aligned in the oposite direction of E, potential energy is maximum
