Projectile Motion
When any object is thrown from horizontal at an angle θ except 90°, then the path followed by it is called trajectory, the object is called projectile and its motion is called projectile motion.
If any object is thrown with velocity u, making an angle θ, from horizontal, then

- Horizontal component of initial velocity = u cos θ.
- Vertical component of initial velocity = u sin θ.
- Horizontal component of velocity (u cos θ) remains same during the whole journey as no acceleration is acting horizontally.
- Vertical component of velocity (u sin θ) decreases gradually and becomes zero at highest point of the path.
- At highest point, the velocity of the body is u cos θ in horizontal direction and the angle between the velocity and acceleration is 90°.
Important Points & Formulae of Projectile Motion
- At highest point, the linear momentum is mu cos θ and the kinetic energy is (1/2)m(u cos θ)2.
- The horizontal displacement of the projectile after t seconds
x = (u cos θ)t - The vertical displacement of the projectile after t seconds
y = (u sin θ) t — (1/2)gt2 - Equation of the path of projectile

- The path of a projectile is parabolic.
- Kinetic energy at lowest point = (1/2) mu2
- Linear momentum at lowest point = mu
- Acceleration of projectile is constant throughout the motion and it acts vertically downwards being equal to g.
- Angular momentum of projectile = mu cos θ x h, where h denotes the height.
- In case of angular projection, the angle between velocity and acceleration varies from 0° < θ < 180°.
- The maximum height occurs when the projectile covers a horizontal distance equal to half of the horizontal range, i.e., R/2.
- When the maximum range of projectile is R, then its maximum height is R/4.

Numerical Coefficient
A numerical coefficient is a constant multiplier of the variables in a term.
- In the term -5x2y, the numerical coefficient is -5.
- In the expression ax2 + bx + c, the numerical coefficient of the x2 term is "a" and the numerical coefficient of the x term is "b". "c" is properly referred to as the constant term.

In direct current, the current flows in one direction only. Some sources of direct current are cell, DC generator, etc. Dry cell, dry cell battery, car battery and DC generator, radio and television works only with D.C they have a device in them which convert A.C supplied to them into D.C. The DC current is the current which does not change the direction with time.

Macromolecules are basically polymers, long chains of molecular sub-units called monomers. Carbohydrates, proteins and nucleic acids are found as long polymers. Due to their polymeric nature and large size, they are known as macromolecules.
Gaurav Seth 5 years ago (2898529)
The large complex molecules having molecular weights more than one thousand Dalton which occur in colloidal state in the intercellular fluid are called macromolecules. They are formed by the polymerization of low molecular weight micromolecules. For example: Polysaccharides, proteins, lipids, etc.

Subsistence Farming: When farming is done to meet the needs of the farmer’s family, it is called subsistence farming. In subsistence farming, low levels of technology and household labour are generally utilised. Farming is done on smaller plots and output is also small. Subsistence farming can be further categorized as intensive subsistence and primitive subsistence farming.
Intensive Subsistence Farming: In this type of farming, the farmer cultivates on a small plot of land. He uses simple tools and more labour. Places which have fertile soils and where the climate allows a large number of days with sunshine are suitable for this type of farming. In favourable climates, farmers are able to grow more than one crop in a year. Rice is the main crop in this type of farming. However, wheat, maize, pulses and oilseeds are also grown. This type of farming is prevalent in densely populated areas of the monsoon regions of south, southeast and east Asia.

Tea:
• Tea is a beverage crop.
• Tea plants grow well in tropical and sub-tropical climate. It requires warm and moist free climate and well distributed frequent showers throughout the year. It needs deep, fertile, well-drained loamy soils and gentle slopes, rich in humus and organic matter.
• Cheap and skilled labour is required in large number to pick the leaves. Tea is processed within the tea gardens to restore its freshness.
• India, Kenya, China, Sri Lanka produce the best quality tea in the world.
• India is the leading producer and exporter of tea. Assam, Darjeeling, West Bengal and Tripura are leading producers of tea in India.
Coffee:
• Hill slopes are more suitable for growth of this crop.
• It requires warm & wet climate and well drained loamy soil.
• Brazil is the leading producer followed by Columbia and India.
• In India coffee is cultivated in Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu.

Isotopes: Isotopes are atoms with the same number of protons but that have a different number of neutrons. Since the atomic number is equal to the number of protons and the atomic mass is the sum of protons and neutrons, isotopes are elements with the same atomic number but different mass numbers.
Isobars: Atoms of different elements with different atomic numbers, which have the same mass number, are known as isobars.

- After the fall of the Jacobin government, the wealthy middle class seized power. A new constitution was introduced which provided for two elected legislative councils.
- These then appointed a Directory, an executive made up of five members. This was meant as a safeguard against the concentration of power in a one-man executive as was under the Jacobins.
