(ੳ) ਉਸਤਰਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਮਾਲਾ : ਉਖਿਆਈ ਵਾਲਾ ਕੰਮ ਜਾਂ ਪਦਵੀ – ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਦੀ ਪਦਵੀ ਤਾਂ ਉਸਤਰਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਮਾਲਾ ਹੈ, ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤ ਵਖਤ ਪਾ ਛਡਦੀ ਹੈ। ਉਹਡ਼-ਪੁਹਡ਼ ਮਾਡ਼ਾ ਮੋਟਾ ਇਲਾਜ – ਉੱਕਡ਼-ਦੁੱਕਡ਼ ਵਿਰਲਾ ਵਿਰਲਾ। ਉੱਕਾ-ਪੁੱਕਾ – ਸਾਰੇ ਦਾ ਸਾਰਾ। ਉਂਗਲਾਂ ਤੇ ਨਚਾਉਣਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਲਾ ਲੈਣਾ, ਮਨ-ਮਰਜ਼ੀ ਕਰਾਉਣੀ – ਸੁਰੇਸ਼ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਿੱਲ ਮਾਲਕ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਮੁੱਠੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਚਾਹੇ ਉਂਗਲਾਂ ‘ਤੇ ਨਚਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉੱਘ-ਸੁੱਘ ਮਿਲਣੀ ਪਤਾ ਲੱਗਣਾਂ, ਸੂਹ ਮਿਲਣੀ – ਇੱਕ ਮਹੀਨਾਂ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ, ਗੁਰਦਿੱਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਘਰੋਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਦਫਤਰ ਗਿਆ ਪਰ ਅਜੇ ਤੱਕ ਵਾਪਸ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਇਆ, ਅਜੇ ਤੱਕ ਉਸਦੀ ਕੋਈ ਉੱਘ-ਸੁੱਘ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲੀ । ਉਚਾਵਾਂ ਚੁਲ੍ਹਾ ਇਕ ਥਾਂ ਟਿਕ ਕੇ ਨਾ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਬੰਦਾ – ਗੋਪੀ ਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਖਾਸ ਟਿਕਾਣਾ ਨਹੀਂ, ਉਹ ਤਾਂ ਉਚਾਵਾਂ ਚੁਲ੍ਹਾ ਹੈ, ਅੱਜ ਏਥੇ, ਭਲਕੇ ਔਥੇ, ਤੇ ਪਰਸੋਂ ਪਤਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਿਥੇ । ਉੱਚਾ ਸਾਹ ਨਾਂ ਕੱਢਣਾ ਸਹਿਮਿਆਂ ਰਹਿਣਾ – ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਲਾਲ ਦੀ ਹਿਸਾਬ ਦੀ ਜਮਾਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਉੱਚਾ ਸਾਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੱਢਦਾ ਸੀ । ਉਧੜ-ਧੁੰਮੀ ਮਚਾਉਣਾ ਰੌਲਾ ਪਾਉਣਾ – ਦੀਪੂ ਬੜਾ ਸ਼ਰਾਰਤੀ ਹੈ, ਜਿਉਂ ਹੀ ਉਹ ਸਕੂਲੋਂ ਘਰ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਘਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਦੂਜੇ ਨਾਲ ਛੇੜਖਾਨੀ ਕਰਕੇ ਉੱਧੜ-ਧੁੰਮੀ ਮਚਾ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ । ਊਠ ਦੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਜੀਰਾ ਦੇਣਾ ਬਹੁਤਾ ਖਾਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਨੂੰ ਥੋੜ੍ਹਾ ਜਿਹਾ ਦੇਣਾ – ਭੋਲੂ ਕਾਕੇ ਦਾ ਦੋ ਰੋਟੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਕੀ ਬਣਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਬੈਠਾ-ਬੈਠਾ ਦਸ (10) ਰੋਟੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਦੋ ਕਿਲੋ ਦੁੱਧ ਵੀ ਪੀ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ । ਬਸ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਵੀ ਊਠ ਦੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਜ਼ੀਰਾ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਗੱਲ ਕੀਤੀ । ਉਚਾਵਾਂ ਚੁਲ੍ਹਾ – ਇਕ ਥਾਂ ਟਿਕ ਕੇ ਨਾ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਬੰਦਾ।-ਗੋਪੀ ਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਖਾਸ ਟਿਕਾਣਾ ਨਹੀਂ, ਉਹ ਤਾਂ ਉਚਾਵਾਂ ਚੁਲ੍ਹਾ ਹੈ, ਅੱਜ ਏਥੇ, ਭਲਕੇ ਔਥੇ, ਤੇ ਪਰਸੋਂ ਪਤਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਿਥੇ। ਉੱਨੀ-ਇੱਕੀ (ਉੱਨੀ-ਵੀਹ) ਦਾ ਫਰਕ – ਬਹੁਤ ਥੋਡ਼੍ਹਾ ਫਰਕ।-ਇਹ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਜਵਾਨ ਇੱਕੋ ਜਿੱਡੇ ਹੀ ਹਨ, ਕਿਤੇ ਉੱਨੀ-ਇੱਕੀ ਦਾ ਫਰਕ ਭਾਵੇਂ ਹੋਵੇ ਉਰਲਾ-ਪਰਲਾ – ਨਿੱਕਾ – ਮੋਟਾ, ਫੁਟਕਲ। ਉਰਾ-ਪਰਾ – ਟਾਲ ਮਟੋਲ ਬਹਾਨੇ।-ਮੇਰੀ ਬਣਦੀ ਰਕਮ ਹੁਣੇ ਢੇਰੀ ਕਰ, ਉਰਾ-ਪਰੇ ਕਰੇਂਗਾ, ਤਾਂ ਛਿੱਤਰ ਤਿਆਰ ਈ। ਊਲ-ਜਲੂਲ – ਬਕਵਾਸ, ਬੇਸ਼ਰਮੀ ਭਰੇ ਬਚਨ। ਓਡਾ-ਕੇਡਾ – ਜਿੱਡਾ ਸੀ ਓਡਾ ਹੀ, ਜਿੰਨਾ ਸੀ ਉੱਨਾ ਹੀ (ਅ) ਅੱਕੀਂ ਪਲਾਹੀ ਹੱਥ ਮਾਰਨਾ ਤਰਲੇ ਲੈਣੇ – ਕਈ ਬੱਚੇ ਸਾਰਾ ਸਾਲ ਪੜ੍ਹਦੇ ਨਹੀ,ਫਿਰ ਇਮਤਿਹਾਨ ਦੇ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੱਦਦ ਲੈਣ ਲਈ ਅੱਕੀਂ ਪਲਾਹੀ ਹੱਥ ਮਾਰਦੇ ਫਿਰਦੇ ਹਨ । ਅਸਮਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਟਾਕੀਆਂ ਲਾਉਣਾ ਬੜੀ ਚਤਰਾਈ ਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰਨਾ – ਮੇਰੇ ਤੇ ਬੀਰੂ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੋਸਤੀ ਹੋਣਾਂ ਅਸੰਭਵ ਹੈ । ਉਹ ਹੱਥੀਂ ਤਾਂ ਕੁੱਝ ਕਰਦਾ ਨੀ ਬਸ ਗੱਲ-ਗੱਲ ਤੇ ਅਸਮਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਟਾਕੀਆਂ ਲਾ ਛੱਡਦਾ ਹੈ । ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੇਰੀ ਉਸਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਲੜਾਈ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ । ਅੱਖਾਂ ਅੱਗੇ ਖੋਪੇ ਚਾੜ੍ਹ ਦੇਣੇ ਮੱਤ ਮਾਰ ਦੇਣੀ, ਮੂਰਖ ਬਣਾ ਦੇਣਾ – ਜਦੋਂ ਦਾ ਰਸੀਲਾ ਸੁਸ਼ੀਲ ਦੀ ਮਾੜੀ ਸੰਗਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਿਆ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਤੇ ਤਾਂ ਬਸ ਖੋਪੇ ਹੀ ਚੜ੍ਹ ਗਏ ਹਨ । ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਭਲੇ-ਬੁਰੇ ਦੀ ਪਛਾਣ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹੀ । ਅੱਖਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਾਲੀ ਉਤਰਨੀ ਗੁੱਸੇ ਨਾਲ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਲਾਲ ਹੋ ਜਾਣੀਆਂ – ਜਦੋਂ ਛਿਮਾਹੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਖਿਆ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਸਵੀਂ ਸ਼੍ਰੈਣੀ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਪ੍ਰੀਖਿਆਰਥੀ ਅੰਗਰੇਜ਼ੀ ਦੇ ਪਰਚੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਫੇਲ੍ਹ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਤਾਂ ਅਧਿਆਪਕ ਦੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਾਲੀ ਉੱਤਰ ਆਈ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਸਦੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਮਿਹਨਤ ਅਜਾਈਂ ਚਲੀ ਗਈ ਸੀ । ਅੱਖਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਚਰਬੀ ਆਉਣੀ ਹੰਕਾਰੀ ਹੋ ਜਾਣਾ – ਅਜੇ ਕੱਲ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਜਿੰਦਰ ਦੀ ਮਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਪੈਸੇ ਮੰਗ-ਮੰਗ ਕੇ ਰੋਟੀ ਤੋਰਦੀ ਸੀ। ਅੱਜ ਉਸ ਕੋਲ ਚਾਰ ਪੈਸੇ ਆ ਗਏ ਹਨ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਚਰਬੀ ਆ ਗਈ ਹੈ । ਹੁਣ ਉਹ ਕਿਸੇ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦੀ । ਅੱਲੇ ਫੱਟਾਂ ਤੇ ਲੂਣ ਛਿੜਕਣਾ ਦੁਖੇ ਹੋਏ ਨੂੰ ਹੋਰ ਦੁਖੀ ਕਰਨਾਂ – ਕਰਤਾਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੇ ਵੱਡ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਮਰਿਆਂ ਅਜੇ ਸਾਲ ਵੀ ਨਹੀ ਸੀ ਹੋਇਆ, ਉਸ ਦਾ ਛੋਟਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਵੀ ਬਸ ਦੁਰਘਟਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੱਲ ਵਸਿਆ, ਉਸਦੇ ਤਾਂ ਅੱਲੇ ਫਟਾਂ ਤੇ ਲੂਣ ਛਿੜਕਿਆ ਗਿਆ । ਆਪਣੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਕੰਢੇ ਬੀਜਣਾ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਨੇ, ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਸਿੱਟਾ ਮਾੜਾ ਨਿਕਲੇ – ਸੁਖਦੇਵ ਸਿੰਘ ਆਪਣੇ ਛੋਟੇ ਜਿਹੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਪੈਸੇ ਦੇ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਵਿਗਾੜ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਕਿਸੇ ਦਾ ਕੀ ਜਾਣਾ, ਆਪਣੇ ਲਈ ਆਪ ਕੰਢੇ ਬੀਜ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ । ਆਪਣੇ ਤਕਰਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੀਰ ਹੋਣਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੋਲ ਸਮਰੱਥਾ ਹੋਣੀ, ਹਿਮੰਤ ਹੋਣੀ – ਸਿਆਣੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਮੁਸੀਬਤ ਵੇਲੇ ਤਰਕਸ ਵਿਚਲੇ ਤੀਰਾਂ ਤੋ ਕੰਮ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਕਿਸੇ ਦਾ ਸਹਾਰਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੱਭਦਾ । ਅਸਮਾਨੀ ਗੋਲਾ – ਅਚਨਚੇਤ ਆ ਪਈ ਕੁਦਰਤੀ ਬਿਪਤਾ। ਅਕਲ ਦਾ ਅੰਨ੍ਹਾ – ਅਕਲ ਦਾ ਸੂਰਾ, ਅਕਲ ਦਾ ਕੋਟ। ਅਕਲ ਦਾ ਵੈਰੀ – ਮੂਰਖ, ਬੇਅਕਲ। ਅੱਖ ਦਾ ਫੇਰ – ਬਹੁਤ ਥੋਡ਼੍ਹਾ ਸਮਾਂ। ਅੱਗ ਦਾ ਗੋਲਾ (ਭਾਂਬਡ਼)– ਬਹੁਤ ਕਰੋਧੀ। ਅੱਗ ਦੇ ਭਾ – ਬਹੁਤ ਮਹਿੰਗਾ। ਅੱਗ ਪਾਣੀ ਦਾ ਵੈਰ – ਸੁਭਾਅ ਵਿਚ ਰਚਿਆ ਤੇ ਕੁਦਰਤੀ ਵੈਰ, ਨਾ ਮਿਟਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣੀ। ਅਗਲਾ ਪੋਚ – ਹੁਣ ਦੇ ਨੌਜਵਾਨ ਜੋ ਸਮਾਂ ਪਾ ਕੇ ਸਿਆਣੇ ਹੋਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਹਨ। ਅਗਲੇ ਵਾਰੇ ਦਾ – ਬਹੁਤ ਪੁਰਾਣਾ। ਅਟਕਲ ਪੱਚੂ – ਅਟਾ-ਸਟਾ, ਅੰਦਾਜਾ। ਅੰਨ੍ਹੀ ਖੱਟੀ – ਫਜ਼ੂਲ ਜਾਂ ਬੇਹਿਸਾਬੀ ਆਮਦਨ। ਅੰਨ੍ਹੇਵਾਹ – ਬਿਨਾ ਸੋਚੇ ਵਿਚਾਰੇ। ਅਲਫ਼-ਨੰਗਾ – ਬਿਲਕੁਲ ਨੰਗਾ। ਅਲੋਕਾਰ ਦਾ – ਅਨੋਖਾ ਆਟੇ ਦਾ ਦੀਵਾ – ਬਹੁਤ ਕਮਜ਼ੋਰ ਆਟੇ ਵਿਚ ਲੂਣ– ਬਹੁਤ ਥੋਡ਼੍ਹਾ।-ਸਾਰੇ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੀ ਵਸੋਂ ਵਿਚ ਸਿੱਖ ਮਸਾਂ ਆਟੇ ਵਿਚ ਲੂਣ ਹੀ ਹਨ ਆਪ ਮੁਹਾਰੇ, ਆ ਮੁਹਾਰੇ – ਕਿਸੇ ਦੀ ਸਲਾਹ ਲੈਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾਂ। (ੲ) ਇੱਲ ਦਾ ਨਾਂ ਕੋਕੋ ਵੀ ਨਾ ਆਉਣਾ ਉੱਕਾ ਅਨਪੜ੍ਹ ਹੋਣਾ – ਸੁਖਵਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਪੈਸੇ ਦੇ ਜੋਰ ਨਾਲ ਵਿੱਦਿਅਕ ਕਾਨਫਰੰਸ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਬਣ ਗਿਆ ਪਰ ਉਹਨੂੰ ਤਾਂ ਇੱਲ ਦਾ ਨਾਂ ਕੋਕੋ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਂਦਾ । ਇਲਮ ਦਾ ਕੀੜਾ ਹਰ ਵੇਲ੍ਹੇ ਕਿਤਾਬਾਂ ਪੜ੍ਹਦੇ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ – ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਤਾਬਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਹਰੀ ਦੀ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਸੂਝ ਨਾ ਹੋਵੇ – ਜਗਮੀਤ ਕੋਰ ਤਾਂ ਇਲਮੀ ਕੀੜਾ ਹੀ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਘਰੇਲੂ ਕਬੀਲਦਾਰੀ ਦਾ ਤਾਂ ਬਿਲਕੁਲ ਪਤਾ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ । ਇੱਕਡ਼-ਦੁੱਕਡ਼ – ਇੱਕ-ਇੱਕ, ਦੋ-ਦੋ ਕਰ ਕੇ। ਇੱਕ-ਮਿੱਕ, ਇੱਕ ਮੁੱਠ – ਪੂਰਨ ਏਕਤਾ ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਵਾਲੇ। ਇੱਕੋ ਢਿੱਡ ਦੇ – ਇੱਕੋ ਮਾਂ ਦੀ ਔਲਾਦ। ਇੱਟ-ਕੁੱਤੇ (ਇੱਟ-ਘਡ਼ੇ) ਦਾ ਵੈਰ – ਸੁਭਾਵਕ ਤੇ ਡੂੰਘਾ ਵੈਰ। ਇੱਟ ਖਡ਼ਿੱਕਾ – ਲਡ਼ਾਈ, ਝਗਡ਼ਾ, ਫਸਾਦ। ਈਦ ਦਾ ਚੰਦ – ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਚਾਹ ਨਾਲ ਉਡੀਕ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਵੇ ਤੇ ਜੋ ਕਦੀ ਕਦਾਈਂ ਚਿਰਾਂ ਪਿਛੋਂ ਮਿਲੇ।
