Stomata are the tiny pores present on the surfaces of leaves. These are surrounded by two bean-shaped cells called guard cells.
Function of stomata :
(i) The exchange of gases in plants occur through stomata.
(ii) The excess water in plants evaporates through stomata by a process called transpiration.
(iii) Loss of water from the stomata creates an upward pull, i.e., suction pull which helps in absorption of water from the roots.
(iv) It helps in the transpiration of water, i.e., the loss of excess water from the plant.

Calculation of interest on drawings:
Total drawings = 6 {tex}\times {/tex} 4000 = 24000
Number of months = {tex}[\text {Time left after 1st drawing + Time left after last drawing}] \over 2{/tex}
= {tex}[6+1] \over 2{/tex} = 3.5 months
Hence, Interest on drawings = 24,000 {tex}\times{/tex} {tex}5 \over 100{/tex} {tex}\times{/tex} {tex}3.5 \over 12{/tex} = 350

According to the poet, the world will end due to the ‘fire’, which symbolises 'desire' but if the world has to end twice then it will be due to the hatred which is symbolised by ‘ice’. The poet feels that there is enough hatred spreading among the people in the world to perish the world twice because unlike fire, ice or hatred affects slowly and gradually and souls of people insensitive to anybody's pain.
