Evaporation happens when a liquid turns into a gas. ... When liquid water reaches a low enough temperature, it freezes and becomes a solid—ice. When solid water is exposed to enough heat, it will melt and return to a liquid. As that liquid water is further heated, it evaporates and becomes a gas—water vapor.

Saanvi Jain 4 years, 4 months ago

During the daytime, sunlight falls on the water of oceans, rivers, lakes and ponds. The fields and other land areas also receive sunlight. As a result, water from all these places continuously changes into vapours. This is called evaporation. Due to evaporation, the wet cloth left in open for drying, becomes dry after sometime. Evaporation takes place from all open surfaces of water. So, water vapours get added to the air continously. Reparation is a slow process but it takes place all the time. In sunlight, evaporation takes place faster, on heating the water it takes place even faster. The process of changing water to its vapour form is called evaporation

Adarsh Sikarwar 4 years, 4 months ago
