Closure property- The closure property states that for any two rational numbers a and b, a + b is also a rational number. The result is a rational number. So we say that rational numbers are closed under addition. e.g. a+b=c Commutative property- The commutative property states that the numbers on which we operate can be moved or swapped from their position without making any difference to the answer. The property holds for Addition and Multiplication, but not for subtraction and division. e.g. a+b=b+a Associative property- the associative law for Rational Numbers states that: a×(b×c) = (a×b)×c.
