Aristotle is the father of biology

Yogita Ingle 5 years, 6 months ago

Aristotle is known as the “Father of Biology” because he extensively studied the natural world and contemplated its origins using scientific insights and systematic observations rather than attributing it to divine intervention. He was also the first to uncover the relationship between animals and establish a system of classification.

1. Crystalline solids are the constituent particles which have regular arrangement whereas Amorphous solids are those which do not have regular arrangement. 2. Crystalline solids have long range order whereas Amorphous solids have short range order. 3. Crystalline solids have sharp melting point whereas Amorphous solids melt over a wide range of temperature. 4. Crystalline solids are anisotropic (substances having different properties and different values in different directions). Where as Amorphous solids are isotropic.

Yogita Ingle 5 years, 6 months ago

  • Crystals have an orderly arrangement of their constituent particles. In comparison, amorphous solids have no such arrangement. Their particles are randomly organised.
  • Crystals have a specific geometric shape with definite edges. Amorphous solids have no geometry in their shapes
  • Crystalline solids have a sharp melting point on which they will definitely melt. An amorphous solid will have a range of temperature over which it will melt, but no definite temperature as such
  • Crystals have a long order arrangement of their particles. This means the particles will show the same arrangement indefinitely. Amorphous solids have a short order arrangement. Their particles show a lot of variety in their arrangement.

HUMAN GENOME PROJECT: Human genome project (HGP) was an international scientific research project which got successfully completed in the year 2003 by sequencing the entire human genome of 3.3 billion base pairs. The HGP led to the growth of bioinformatics which is a vast field of research. The successful sequencing of the human genome could solve the mystery of many disorders in humans and gave us a way to cope up with them. GOALS OF THE HUMAN GENOME PROJECT: #Optimization of the data analysis. #Sequencing the entire genome. #Identification of the complete human genome. #Creating genome sequence databases to store the data. #Taking care of the legal, ethical and social issues that the project may pose. APPLICATIONS OF HGP: *As the goals of the human genome project were achieved, it led to great advancement in research. Today, if any disease arises due to some alteration in a certain gene, then it could be traced and compared to the genome database that we already have. In this way, a more rational step could be taken to deal with the problem and can be fixed with more ease. *This project has opened up new horizons which can be learned in much detail with our expert faculty.

If u mean x^2, it depends on the co domain given in the ques. If the codomain is R then it is not surjective as we get only positive values in range. If co domain is R+ or [0,infinity) then it is surjective as co domain and range are same.
