O2 and F2 both stabilise high oxidation states with metal but the tendency is greater in oxygen than fluorine. It is because O2 bears -2 charges for each oxygen atom while F2 bears only -1 for each atom thus the force of attraction between the metal atom and O2-ion is greater than the force between the same metal atom and F- ion. Thus, oxygen has the ability to form multiple bonds with transition element whereas fluorine does not have the ability to form multiple bonds with transition elements. Hence, O2 gets the higher state of metals.

- No tetrahedral Oxygens shared with other tetrahedra
- Based on SiO4 4-
- Also called nesosilicates
- A diverse group of minerals, examples covered or touched on here or in lab:
- olivine
- garnet
- aluminosilicates
- kyanite
- andalusite
- sillimanite
- topaz
- staurolite
- zircon
- titanite or sphene
- chloritoid
- humite group
- structures determined by size(s) and charge(s) of cations in the structure
- often rather dense minerals, high S.G., hard (lots of references to the Gems course), high R.I. - mantle phases
- equant grains with generally poor cleavage
- low amounts of Al substitution for Si
Pyrosilicates are silicates which contain Si2O76-. They are formed by joining two tetrahedral Si2O44-. When two Si2O44- are joined, there is removal of one oxygen atom and the two units join at the corner oxygen atom. Example is thortveitite, Sc2Si2O7. The structure of pyrosilicate is:

The reds are oxygen atoms and greens are silicon.
Cyclic silicates contains (SiO3)n2n- which are formed by linking three or more tetrahedral SiO44- units cyclically. Each SiO44- shares two oxygen atoms with other unit. Example is Benitoite, BaTi(SiO3)3. Here three SiO44- units are arranged cyclically.
Orthosilicates: In simple Orthosilicates the SiO4 4- tetrahedron units do not share any of its oxygen atoms with any of the other tetrahedra units. E.g. Willmenite ZnSiO4, Zircon ZrSiO4.
Pyrosilicates or Island silicates
In Pyrosilicates one oxygen atom is shared by two silicate units General formula is (Si2O7)6-
E.g. Thortevitite Sc2[Si2O7] and Hemimorphite Zn(OH)2(Si2O7)H2O

Deccani painting denotes broadly the miniature paintings rendered from the 16th to the 19th century at Bijapur, Ahmadnagar, Golkonda and Hyderabad, the former states that formed the region known as Deccan. Besides a distinct geographical identity, Deccan had its own distinction in art, culture, dramatics, linguistics, social values, costumes, religious beliefs, thoughts and ideas. The style and themes in Deccani miniatures, are an amalgamation of various art elements and influences, especially the elements of early indigenous art traditions of the Deccan and the Islamic idiom of Iran, Persia and Turkey.
This Deccani art had three distinguishable phases. The early phase evolved at the Adil Shahi court of Bijapur in the beginning of the 16th century. In 1489-90, an Iranian immigrant, Yusuf Adil Shah, a soldier rising to the height of a Shah, founded at Bijapur the Adil Shahi rule. On his invitation several Irani, Persian and Turkish painters, calligraphers and scholars came to his court. Adept in Islamic art style, these immigrating artists rendered paintings on pure Islamic themes and in a pure Islamic idiom. It was Indian art only to the extent that it was rendered on Indian soil. The art of these Islamic painters was confined to text illumination.

rigin and Development:- Rajasthani School was a continuation of old Indian tradition. This art was developed under the Rajput kings. In the beginning, this school had Mughal influence, but later it was established as a purely Indian art having no Mughal influence. Rajasthani School did not originate as miniature, but it was primarily a mural art. During the attack of Mughals, the whole Rajasthan was affected but Mewar remained safe till the end. So, Rajasthani School flourished first in Mewar. Later, it flourished in Jaipur, Jodhpur, Bundi, Kishangarh, Bikaner and other places of Rajasthan. Kishan Singh ruled at Kishangarh. After Kishan Singh, Raja Sawant Singh’s son Raja Raj Singh ruled Kishangarh and art reached its climax. Raja Sawant Singh was also a very famous king of Kishangarh. Rajasthan was a place of ‘Raja’ (Kings) or place of ‘States’. That’s why it was known as Rajasthan. Rajasthani Art had purely Hindu feelings and had Indian sensibility

| Basis for Differentiation | Microeconomics | Macroeconomics |
|
Meaning |
Microeconomics studies the particular market segment of the economy | Macroeconomics studies the whole economy, that covers several market segments |
| Deals with? | Microeconomics deals with various issues like demand, supply, factor pricing, product pricing, economic welfare, production, consumption, etc., | Macroeconomics deals with various issues like national income, distribution, employment, general price level, money, etc., |
| Business Application | Applied to internal issues | Environment and external issues |
| Scope | Covers several issues like demand, supply, factor pricing, product pricing, economic welfare, production, consumption, etc. | Covers several issues like distribution, national income, employment, money, general price level, etc., |
| Significance | Useful in regulating the prices of a product alongside the prices of factors of production (labour, land, entrepreneur, capital, etc) within the economy | Perpetuates firmness in the broad price level and solves the major issues of the economy like deflation, inflation, rising prices (reflation), unemployment and poverty as a whole |
| Limitations | It is based on impractical presuppositions, i.e. In microeconomics, it is presumed that there is full employment in the community which is not at all feasible | It has been scrutinized that Misconception of Composition’ incorporates, which sometimes fails to prove accurate because it is feasible that what is true for aggregate (comprehensive) may not be true for individuals too |
