In the story, "The Last Lesson", the author Alphonse Daudet describes how a school boy named Franz goes to school. When Franz was on his way to school, he noticed the news on the walls and was thinking about it.
There was a blacksmith who watched Franz, slowly walking and commented not to go fast as there was a plenty of time to school. Franz realised that the blacksmith was making fun of him and he hurried to school.
