Part of the amount is shown in profit and loss account and is reduced from total expenditure and rest is shown in balance sheet. These expenditure does not result in an asset creation. That's why these are shown under the head miscellaneous expenditure.

Chromosome are composed of thin chromatin threads called chromatin fibers. Each species has a definite chromosome number, represented by 2n. Somatic cells contains two copies of each chromosomes, which are identical in morphology, gene content and gene order and they are known as homologous chromosomes.

The transmission of characteristics from parents to offspring is called heredity, and the characteristics that are inherited can be predicted. Reginald Punnett contributed much to the science of genetics when he designed a method of predicting traits as he was studying poultry genetics. Looking more like one parent or the other is dependent on the gene versions each parent has. And which ones happen to get passed down. We have two copies of each of our chromosomes and so have two copies of each of our genes.

Chromosomes are the rod-shaped ,filamentous bodies present in the nucleus, which become visible during cell division. They are carriers of the gene or unit of heredity. There are four main types of chromosomes: metacentric, submetacentric, acrocentric, and telocentric. Chromosomes are found within the nucleus of most living cells and consist of DNA that is tightly wound into thread-like structures.

Under a microscope, plant cells from the same source will have a uniform size and shape. Beneath a plant cell's cell wall is a cell membrane. An animal cell also contains a cell membrane to keep all the organelles and cytoplasm contained, but it lacks a cell wall. A difference between plant cells and animal cells is that most animal cells are round whereas most plant cells are rectangular. Plant cells have a rigid cell wall that surrounds the cell membrane. Animal cells do not have a cell wall.

The velocity-time graph of a uniformly accelerated motion is a straight line graph inclining towards the time axis. If the object has positive constant acceleration, the graph slopes upward. In case the object has negative constant acceleration, the velocity-time graph will slope downward.
The pattern of slope of the graph shows that object is moving with uniform acceleration. Calculation of Displacement and Distance covered by the moving object using velocity time graph: Let take two points, A and B at the slope of the graph. Draw a line from B to BD and another from point A to AE parallel to y-axis.

"Grandmother" was an old wrinkly woman, who couldn't have grown older. She was short, plump and slightly bent. She always wore a white saari, with silver locks covering her face, due to which the narrator describes her as being a "winter landscape in the mountains". She has a calm, gentle and reassuring face. She always has one hand supporting her back while the other is busy in telling the beads of rosary.
She is a saintly woman, quite religious and kind. This characteristics can be observed throughout the lesson, where the grandmother spends all her time in chanting prayers. She is very kind-hearted which is clearly seen from the instances where she feeds stale chapatis to dogs and crumbled bread to the sparrows.
She never shows her emotions, but loves her grand son dearly. Even when the author leaves for abroad she pretends that she doesn't care, but, she has a lot of affection and blessings for her dear grandson.
She is accustomed to old traditions, and isn't really interested in science and modern education. She has an old mindset due to which she revolts when the author tells her about the idea of learning music, as she believes music is a monopoly of harlots and beggars.

The electron density is concentrated behind the nuclei of the two bonding atoms in anti-bonding molecular orbitals. This results in the nuclei of the two atoms being pulled away from each other. These kinds of orbitals weaken the bond between two atoms.

Hypertension - or elevated blood pressure - is a serious medical condition that significantly increases the risks of heart, brain, kidney and other diseases.
- Blood pressure is the force exerted by circulating blood against the walls of the body’s arteries, the major blood vessels in the body. Hypertension is when blood pressure is too high.
Blood pressure is written as two numbers. The first (systolic) number represents the pressure in blood vessels when the heart contracts or beats. The second (diastolic) number represents the pressure in the vessels when the heart rests between beats.
Hypertension is diagnosed if, when it is measured on two different days, the systolic blood pressure readings on both days is ≥140 mmHg and/or the diastolic blood pressure readings on both days is ≥90 mmHg.

Most plants are vascular, which means they have a system of tubules inside them that carry nutrients around the plant. The following are basis of growth except (a) cell enlargement (b) increase in size (c) cell division (d) cell differentiation.

A plasmid is usually a circular (sometimes linear) piece of double-stranded DNA found in bacteria that is different from bacterium’s chromosome. It carries non-essential genes that can augment a bacterium’s ability to survive in certain circumstances.
For example, plasmids carry genes that enable a bacterium to metabolise a certain type of nutrient otherwise it cannot enable to conjugate. Plasmids are used for a vast variety of experiments from expressing human genes in bacterial cells to DNA sequencing.
