Andrew reaches the conclusion that all these marriages were dismal failures based on the episode he had witnessed at Cardiff station. It obsessed him morbidly as he thought about Bramwell, who was foolishly devoted to a woman who deceived him sordidly. Then he thought of Edward Page who was bound a shrewish Blodwen, of Denny who was living an unhappy life being away from his wife. All these relationships led him to draw such a conclusion and he winced from this realization. He wished to consider marriage as an idyllic state because the only thing the image of Christine permitted him to conceive of. Her shining eyes admitted no other conclusion. He was conflicted between listening to his level head or overflowing heart, leaving him resentful and confused.

The message the poem ‘The Voice of the Rain’ gives to the readers is the message of giving back to our source or origin. The rain receives life from the earth and its water bodies. It rises from the earth and forms into clouds in the sky; finally it falls back to the earth and its water bodies. Thus rain gives life back to the source from where it receives life.

Given, mass, m = 72.2 kg
Gravity acceleration, g = 9.8 m/${{s}^{2}}$ Scale reading = apparent weight = R = ?
(i) While descending with constant velocity, a =0
R = mg
R = 72.2 x9.8
=>R = 707.56 N
(ii) While ascending with a = 3.2 m/${{s}^{2}}$
R = m(g + a)
R = 72.2 (9.8 + 3.2) = 938.6 N

On New Year’s Day the weather changed for the worse. The waves were gigantic. Strong gales did trouble them. As the ship rose to the top of each wave, they could see endless huge waves rolling towards them. The howling of the wind and the spray was painful to the ears. The sky grew dark. A torrent of green and white water broke over the ship. The captain was thrown overboard.

Every Business transaction which is to be considered for accounting i.e. every Accounting transaction, has its effect on the fundamental accounting equation.
Each transaction alters the expressions forming the equation in such a way that the accounting equation is satisfied after every such alteration.
The values forming the various terms of the expressions within the equation are altered in such a way that the basic fact, rule or equation, Capital + Liabilities = Assets is always satisfied.

A benefit, profit, or value of something that must be given up to acquire or achieve something else. Since every resource (land, money, time, etc.) can be put to alternative uses, every action, choice, or decision has an associated opportunity cost.
Opportunity costs are fundamental costs in economics, and are used in computing cost benefit analysis of a project. Such costs, however, are not recorded in the account books but are recognized in decision making by computing the cash outlays and their resulting profit or loss

The slope of production possibility curve is marginal opportunity cost which refers to the additional sacrifice that a firm makes when they shift resources and technology from production of one commodity to the other. Therefore, if marginal opportunity cost remains constant then PPC will be a straight line owing to constant slope.
