  1. Creating Provision for Depreciation Account− Under this method, depreciation is not credited to the Assets Account; in fact, it is credited to the provision for Depreciation Account. At the year end, asset is shown at the original cost in the Balance Sheet and total depreciation up to the date of Balance Sheet is shown as Provision for Depreciation Account.

I knew my cousin Mourad enjoyed being alive more than anybody else who had ever fallen into the world by mistake, but this was more than even I could believe.
In the first place, my earliest memories had been memories of horses and my first longings had been longings to ride.
This was the wonderful part.

Meanings:

Mourad was sitting on a white horse. Aram rubbed his eyes and stuck out his head out of the window. Mourad assured him it was not a dream. He asked if he wanted a ride, he must make it quick. Mourad was the type of person who enjoyed being alive but he couldn’t believe that he was seeing a horse in front of him. Aram’s earliest memory was of horses and he always wanted to ride one. This was the wonderful part that he was actually going to ride a horse for real.

Every living cell is externally covered by a thin transparent electron microscopic, elastic regenerative and selective permeable membrane called plasma membrane. It is quasifluid in nature. Membranes also occur inside the cells. They are collectively called biomembranes. The term cell membrane was given by C. Nageli and C. Cramer (1855) for outer membrane covering of the portoplast. It was replaced by the term plasmalemma by Plower (1931).

Chemical composition : Proteins lipoprotein (Lipid +Protein) are the major component forming 60% of the plasma membrane. Proteins provide mechanical strength and responsible for transportation of different substances. Proteins also act as enzyme. Lipids account may 28%-79% depending upon the type of cell and organism involved (in humans, myelin 79%). The lipids of plasma membrane are of three types namely phospholipids, glycolipids and sterols. The sterol found in the membrane may be cholesterol (Animals), phytosterol (Plants) or ergosterol (Microorganisms).

Carbohydrates form 2%–10%. Oligosaccharides are the main carbohydrates present in plasma membrane. The carbohydrates of plasma membrane are covalently linked to both lipid and protein components.

Ultrastructure : Under electron microscope the plasma membrane appears three layered, i.e., trilaminar or tripartite. One optically light layer is of lipid and on both sides two optically dense protein layers are present.

Molecular structure and different models : Several models have been proposed to explain the structure and function of the plasma membrane.

(1) Overton’s model : It suggests that the plasma membrane is composed of a thin lipid single layer.

(2) Sandwitch model : It was proposed by Davson and Danielli (1935). According to this model the light biomolecular lipid layer is sandwitched between two dense protein layers (globular a type protein). This model was also said to be unit membrane hypothesis.

(3) Robertson’s unit membrane model : It states that all cytoplasmic membranes have a similar structure of three layers with and electron transparent phospholipid bilayer being sandwitched between two electron dense layer of proteins (extended or

  type protein).

Its thickness is about 75 Å with a central lipid layer of 

35 AA

 thick and two peripheral protein layers of 

20 AA

 thick.

(4) Fluid mosaic model : The most important and widely accepted latest model for plasma membrane was given by Singer and Nicolson in 1972. According to them it is “protein iceberg in a sea of lipids.”

According to this model, the cell membrane consists of a highly viscous fluid matrix of two layers of phospholipid molecules. Protein molecules occur as separate particles asymmetrical arranged in a mosaic pattern.

Some of these are loosely bound at the polar surfaces of lipid layers, called peripheral or extrinsic proteins. Others penetrate deeply into the lipid layer called integral or intrinsic proteins. Some of the integral proteins penetrate through the phospholipid layers and project on both the surface. These are called trans membrane or tunnel proteins (glycophorins). Singly or in groups, they function as channels for passage of water ions and other solutes.

1 . First law is contained in the second law : - there will be no acceleration in the body if no external force is applied . This means that a body at rest will remain at rest and a body at motion will remain in motion .
The first crisis the lunar explorers faced came just short of moonfall. The Apollo 11 Lunar Module, code – named ‘eagle’, was still 9.5 km (6 miles) up when the vital guidance computer began flashing an alarm. It was overloading. Any second it could give up the ghost under the mounting pressure and nothing the two astronauts could do would save the mission. Emergencies were nothing new to Commander Neil Armstrong but he and his co – pilot Buzz Aldrin hadn’t even practised for this one on the ground – no one believed it could happen. Sweeping feet first towards their target, they pressed ahead as controllers on Earth waited heart – in – mouth. Racing against the computer, Eagle slowed and then pitched upright to stand on its rocket plume and gave Armstrong his first view of the landing site. The wrong one! They had overshot by four miles into unfamiliar territory and were heading straight for a football field size crater filled with boulders “the size of Volkswagens”. 2. With his fuel running out, and only a minute’s flying time left, Armstrong coolly accelerated the hovering Eagle beyond the crater, touching 88 kph (55mph). Controllers were puzzled and alarmed by the unplanned manoeuvres. Mission Director George Hale pleaded silently: “Get it down, Neil. Get it down.” The seconds ticked away. 3. “Forward, drifting right,” Aldrin said. And then, with less than 20 seconds left, came the magic word: “Contact!” 4. Armstrong spoke first: “Tranquility base here, the Eagle has landed.” His words were heard by 600 million people – a fifth of humanity. 5. About six and a half hours later, Eagle’s front door was opened and Armstrong backed out onto a small porch. He wore a €200,000 moonsuit, a sort of thermos flask capable of stopping micrometeoroids travelling 30 times faster than a rifle bullet. He carried a backpack which weighed 49 kgs and enough oxygen for a few hours. Heading down the ladder, Armstrong unveiled a €200,000 TV camera so the world could witness his first step: “That’s one small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind.” It was 3.56 am, 21 July, 1969. For constructing histogram of unequal class-intervals, first we note a class of the smallest intervals. Other classes are noted in the increasing order of their intervals. If the size of one class-interval is twice the smallest size in the series, frequency of that class is divided by two. Suppose the class with the smallest interval is 5 – 10 and the class with the largest interval is 10 – 20, the frequency of which is 12. Here the class interval of the bigger class is 10 which is twice as much as the size of the class-interval of the smallest class i.e. 5. The bigger class interval is divided into two parts 10 – 15 and 15 – 20 and accordingly the frequency of the bigger class, 12 would be divided by 2 i.e. 12+ 6. In this way there will be following adjustment.

Einstein got a false medical certificate and was about to go to the head teacher’s office to submit it. To his surprise, however, the headmaster himself sent for him and informed that the school had decided to rusticate him for his hostile presence in the school. The head teacher explained that all the teachers were troubled with his rebellious attitude and did not want him in the school any longer. The field equations and energy-momentum tensor are derived for a charged ideal fluid coupled to a scalar field. It is shown that there exists an interaction energy-momentum tensor which can have negative energy densities even though the fluid and fields have positive energy densities. The energy density and mass of a fluid sphere are calculated in the weak field limit and it is shown that they can be negative if certain conditions are met. When the mass of the sphere is negative the entire interior consists of exotic matter (i.e., matter which violates the weak energy condition).
