When Indian got independence in 1947, present-day Meghalaya comprised two districts of Assam and enjoyed partial autonomy within the state of Assam. A movement began in 1960, demand for a separate Hill State. The Assam Reorganisation (Meghalaya) Act of 1969 accorded an autonomous status to Meghalaya. The Act came into effect on 2 April 1970, and an autonomous state of Meghalaya was created in Assam. The autonomous state had a 37-member legislature in at par Sixth schedule to the Indian constitution.

Difference between Co-operative society and Company:
| Basis of difference | Co-operative society | Company |
| (i) Regulations | It is governed by the Co-operative Society Act, 1912. | It is governed by the Companies Act, 2013. |
| (ii) Transfer of share | The members of co-operative societies cannot transfer their shares. | Shares can be easily transferred in case of a public company but not in the case of a private company. |

King Tut's mummy was one of the first mummy's to be scanned. The CT scan came up with some new clues about the life and death of King Tut. It provided precise data for an accurate forensic reconstruction of King Tut. The CT scan displayed the mummy from head to toe creating 1,700 digital X-ray images in cross-section. It showed a grey head, neck vertebrae, a hand, several images of rib cages, and a section of the skull. The CT scan revealed an astonishing image of King Tut and his entire body very clearly.
The results of a CT scan done on King Tut's mummy indicate the boy king was not murdered, but may have suffered a badly broken leg shortly before his death at age 19 — a wound that could have become infected
