  • Chemiosmotic hypothesis explain the mechanism of ATP synthesis in chloroplast.
  • In photosynthesis, ATP synthesis is linked to development of a proton gradient across a membrane.
  • The protons that are produced by the splitting of water are accumulated inside of membrane of thylakoids (in lumen).
  • As the electron moves through the photosystem, protons are transported across the membrane.
  • NADP reductase enzyme is located on the stroma side of the membrane, along with electrons from the acceptor it removes H+ from the stroma during reduction of NADPH + H+.
  • This creates proton gradients across the thylakoid membrane as well as a measurable decrease in pH in the lumen.
  • ATPase has a channel that allows diffusion of protons back to stroma across the membrane.
  • This releases energy to activate ATPase enzyme that catalyses the formation of ATP.

transpiration means the loss of water from the plant not only leaves some other parts of plants also leaves some waiter by the stomata the plant losses about 70% of water

Yogita Ingle 7 years ago

Guttation Transpiration
Occurs during night time. Occurs during daylight.
Water lost in guttation is rich in minerals. The transpired water is pure.
Water is lost as the liquid. Water is lost in the form of vapors.
The process takes place through hydathodes. Stomata perform this process.
Guttation is an uncontrolled phenomenon. Transpiration is a controlled and regulated phenomenon.

Guttation =loss of water in liquid phase by herbaceous plant from the tips of leaf blades known as guttation. Transpiration=loss of water by leaves of the aerial parts of plant in the form of water vapour known as transpiration.

Parameter of Comparison Manual Accounting Computerized Accounting
Definition It uses books and physical registers to record financial data. It uses a computer with financial software to collect financial data electronically.
Documenting Documenting is attainable via book of original entry A customized database is used to record data content.
Calculation One performs all the calculations by hand. The computer system carries out the calculations after one feeds it with the data.
Accuracy Prone to mistakes The software confirms transactions making it unlikely to record a mistake
Financial Statements Accountants develop it at the end of every fiscal year or quarter. It is always ready.
Trial balance It is prepared when required It provides a trial balance every day
Speed Slow Relatively faster
Backup It is hard to backup data You can save entries of transactions and back them up easily.

Surface tension of the liquid=Force/length multiply length to both numerator and the denominator =Force x length/length x length =work/area So, this show that the surface energy per unit area is equal to the surface tension of the liquid.

Quantitative genetic analyses of basal metabolic rate (BMR) can inform us about the evolvability of the trait by providing estimates of heritability, and also of genetic correlations with other traits that may constrain the ability of BMR to respond to selection.

The differentiation of sec {tan root( x )} is ? as given: Answer, y'=sec(tan(x))tan(tan(x))(sec2(x)) Solution : If, y=sec(f(x)) then using chain rule, y'=sec(f(x))tan(f(x))f'(x) In same way, y'=sec(tan(x))tan(tan(x))(tan(x)) ' y' =sec(tan(x))tan(tan(x))(sec2(x))

The interphase, though called the resting phase, is metabolically quite active. It is the time during which the cell prepares itself for division by undergoing both cell growth and DNA replication in an orderly manner. The interphase is further divided into three phases: • G1 (Gap 1) phase • S (Synthesis) phase • G2 (Gap 2) phase

It has no radial or angular nodes: the 1s orbital is simply a sphere of electron density. A node is a point where the electron probability is zero. As with all orbitals the number of radial nodes increases with the principle quantum number (i.e. the 2s orbital has one radial node, the 3s has two etc.).

The roots of leguminous plant come in contact with rhizobium it becomes curled or deform by chemical secretion by bacteria the rhizobium enter into deform root hairs and proliferate with in the roots hair the plant responds by forming an infection thread that grows inward to deliver the bacteria to the tissue the nodules established contact with the vascular tissue of the host for thr absorption of nutrients the formation of roots nodules and nitrogen fixation occur unfer the control of genes of leguminous and the gene of bacteria

Nodule formation : (a) It includes the reactions between Rhizobium and roots of host plant. Rhizobia multiply, (b) They colonise the surrounding of the roots. They get attached to root epidermal hair cells, © A root hair curls and the bacterium invades into it. An infection thread is formed carrying it into root jcortex: (d) The bacteria are then released from the thread into cells and it causes the differentiation of N2 fixing cells. Nodule formation occurs.

Ayushi Ayushi 7 years ago

In general terms, nodules are formed as a result of infection of the roots by soil bacteria. ... The complex process by which plant roots are infected by rhizobia is known as infection. The complex process in which nodules are formed is known as nodulation.
