Leguminous plants have root nodules which provide shelter to a bacteria called Rhizobium. It is very important bacteria for the plant as it converts atmospheric nitrogen into usable form called nitrates so that plants will be able to make proteins for their growth. These plants have a symbiotic association with the soil bacteria called the Rhizobium, that live in their roots, forming root nodules and fix atmospheric nitrogen into the nitrates and nitrites for the plants and in turn, the plants provide the nutrition to the bacteria.

The principal export documents are the following:

  1. Commercial invoice : This document contains the details of goods supplied by the exporter. The common contents of this document are name of buyers and sellers, quanity and price of product, date of sailing, marks made on packings, etc. This document is necessary for taking clearance from the Excise Commissioner, Custom Authority, Export Inspection Agency, etc.
  2. Packing list: This list contains the date of packing, order number, corresponding invoice number, bill of lading number, details of shipping details of sailing, details of goods in each packet, etc.
  3. Bill of lading : It is a very important transport document. It is issued by the shipping company when the exporter surrenders the mate’s receipt.
  4. Airway bill : This document is the same as bill of lading with the only diffrence that it is issued by the airway company and not by the shipping company when goods are transported through airways, then instead of Bill of Lading the exporter gets Arways Bill.
  5. Certificate of inspection : This certificate is issued by the export inspection agency. This certifies that export consignment has been inspected as per the specification of Export (Quality Control and Inspection) Act.
  6. Certificate of origin : This certificate is issued by the Chamber of Commerce or by Export Promotion Council or by a government department. This document certifies that the goods to be exported are originally from the home country only or exporter’s country only.

During severe winter, the temperature of water in the lake keeps on decreasing. Since cold water is heavier, it keeps on going into the interior of the lake while warm water keeps on coming to the surface of the lake. This process continues till the temperature of entire water of lakes becomes 4°C. Since density of water is maximum at 277 K, any further decrease in the temperature will decrease its density. As a result, the temperature of the surface water keeps on decreasing and it ultimately freezes. Now, any further decrease in the temperature will decrease the temperature of water below 4°C. This process continues and as a result, the lakes keep on freezing from top to bottom.

It is important to note that the transformation of social and political institutions and daily life was pot just a question of reviving traditions, or tenaciously preserving them, but rather of creatively using them in new and different ways.
For instance, the Meiji school system, modelled on European and American practices, introduced new subjects but the curriculum's main objective was to make loyal citizens. A course on morals that stressed loyalty to the emperor was compulsory.
Similarly changes in the family or in daily life show how foreign and indigenous ideas were brought together to create something new.

The Chinese path to modernisation was very different. Foreign imperialism, both Western and Japanese, combined with a hesitant and unsure Qing dynasty to weaken government control and set the stage for a breakdown of political and social order leading to immense misery for most of the people.
Warlordism, banditry and civil war exacted a heavy toll on human lives, as did the savagery of the Japanese invasion. Natural disasters added to this burden.

An index number is not an absolute measure, it measures the percentage change in a variable over time. It does so by comparing the value of a variable at present to its value at a base year. Index number gives a quantitative foundation to qualitative statements like prices are falling or rising

While catching a ball, a cricket player lowers his hands, because by doing so, he increases the time of catch. That is, the person increases the time to bring about a given change in momentum, and hence rate of change of momentum decreases.
