The combination of smoke and fog is called smog. It is of two types:
(a) London smog or sulphurous smog or classical smog: London smog formation is initiated by a mixture of SO2 particulate and high humidity in the atmosphere. The chemicals present in the particulates catalyse the conversion of SO2 to SO3 which then combines with H2O of the humidity forming a fog of sulphuric acid droplets. These then condense on the surface of the particulate.
2SO2 + O2 → 2SO3
SO3 + H2O → H2SO4
This type of smog is seen in the early morning hours of winters months.
(b) Photochemical smog or Los Angeles smog: It is formed when the air contains NO2 and hydrocarbons and the mixture is exposed to sunlight. As the reaction occurs in the presence of sunlight to form the smog, it is called photochemical smog) This type of smog is formed in the months of summer (strong sunlight) during the daytime when NO2 and hydrocarbons are present in very large amounts due to heavy vehicular traffic.

Long run: Long run is the period in which all the factors of production can be changed to change the output. In a long run, the output can be increased by increasing both variable factors and fixed factors of production. Firms can change fixed factors of production in the long run.

Prolactin tells the milk-making glands in your breast to make breast milk. Oxytocin signals the let-down reflex to release the milk. 2 It causes the alveoli to contract and squeeze the breast milk out into the milk ducts. Prolactin causes your alveoli to take nutrients (proteins, sugars) from your blood supply and turn them into breast milk. Oxytocin causes the cells around the alveoli to contract and eject your milk down the milk ducts. This passing of the milk down the ducts is called the “let-down” (milk ejection) reflex.

The prospects for enhancing flowering, for the purposes of breeding and seed supply, appear good, particularly for members of the Pinaceae. The most successful techniques involve the application of the gibberellin A4 and A7 mixture combined with cultural treatments such as drought, root pruning or girdling. There is scope for these techniques to be used in outdoor seed orchards but more particularly with container-grown plants in polythene houses. Less research has been published on enhancing flowering in broadleaves (angiosperms) though there has been considerable attention to factors affecting blossom and fruit development. Techniques that encourage rapid vegetative growth so that plants quickly reach a certain minimum size may be the most promising to promote flowering of broadleaves. Avenues for further research are considered.

Yes, centripetal force causes acceleration but no work is done by the force. A centripetal force is a force that makes a body follow a curved path. Its direction is always orthogonal to the motion of the body and towards the fixed point of the instantaneous center of curvature of the path. Since the direction is always orthogonal(perpendicular) work done is zero.

Electrophiles (Electrophilic reagents): Electrophiles are electron loving chemical species having an atom which is deficient in electrons. There are two types of electrophiles:
(a) Positively charged ions or positive electrophiles: These are deficient in electrons and carry a positive charge. For example H+ (hydrogen ion) H3O+(hydronium ion),
(Nitronium ion),

(b) Neutral electrophiles. These are electrophilic reagents in which the electron deficient atom does not carry any charge. For example AlCl3, FeCl3, BF3, SnCl4. Carbenes also act as electrophiles because the carbon in them has only six electrons.
Since both positively charged and neutral electrophiles are short by a pair of electrons, they have strong tendency to attract electrons from other sources and hence behave a Lewis acids.
Electrophiles always attack the substrate molecule at the point of high electron density.

This process takes place for the duration of the day. Both the sea, as well as the land surface is heated up by the sun. The sea heats up slower than the land because it has a much higher heat capacity. Thus, the temperature over the land surface increases, in turn, heating up the air around it. An expansion occurs in the less dense warm air and an area over the land having low pressure is developed. At the same time on the top of the sea, a high-pressure area develops. Due to the difference in pressure and the air flows from the high pressure over the sea to the low pressure over the land. This flow of air from the sea to the land is termed as the sea breeze.
