It is because 5th period has sub shell 5s,4d,and5p they have 1,5,3 orbitals so they have 2,10, 6 electrons and when we add them =2+10+6=18 electrons. So, by this we say that period 5has 18 elements

The distribution of electron into orbitals of an atom is called electronic configuration

Yogita Ingle 6 years, 5 months ago

Electronic configuration is defined as the distribution of electrons into various orbitals of an atom by using three principles.

Aufbau principle states that in the ground state of the atoms the orbitals are filled in order of their increasing energies. Electrons first occupy the lowest-energy orbital and then enter into successive higher energy orbitals. The electrons enter into various orbitals in an increasing order of (n+l).

The dimension of force is [MLT−2]

Yogita Ingle 6 years, 5 months ago

The dimension of a physical quantity is defined as the powers to which the fundamental quantities are raised in order to represent that quantity. The seven fundamental quantities are enclosed in square brackets [ ] to represent its dimensions.

<pre>  Force applied on a body is the product of acceleration and mass of the body</pre>

Force = Mass × Acceleration

Dimension of Mass = [M]

Dimension of Acceleration = [LT-2]

Dimension of Force will be = [M] × [LT-2]

[Force] = [MLT-2]

One liter of water has 1000 grams.
Number of moles is {tex}\frac{1000}{18}{/tex} = 55.556 moles.
The number of molecules is therefore 6.022{tex}\times{/tex}1023 {tex}\times{/tex} 55.556 = 3.346 {tex}\times{/tex} 1025 molecules.
The number of atoms is 3 times larger because each molecule has three atoms, so there are 1.0038{tex}\times{/tex}1026 atoms in a liter of water.
