The longitudinal gap between Arunachal Pradesh and Gujarat is about 30°. Due to this, there is time lag of about two hours between these states. Since Arunachal Pradesh is in the east hence the sun rises earlier here; compared to in Gujarat. The Indian Standard Time is taken from the time of Standard Meridian of India and hence the watches show the same time in both the states.

Regulation of kidney function involves feedback circuits.

There are 3 main feedback systems that regulate the kidney functions.

1. Control by JGA:

JGA operates multihormonal Renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system  (RAAS).  The JGA responds to a decrease in blood pressure or blood volume in the afferent arteriole of the glomerulus and releases an enzyme, renin, into the bloodstream. In the blood, renin initiates chemical reactions that convert a plasma protein called angiotensinogen to a peptide called angiotensin I. This is converted to angiotensin II in lungs by angiotensin converting enzyme. Angiotensin II acts on adrenal gland and results in the release of aldosterone from the adrenal gland. Aldosterone increases blood pressure and increases blood flow to the glomerulus. It acts on DCT and collecting duct and increases reabsorption of Na+.

2. Control by ADH:

ADH is released from pituitary gland when osmolarity of blood is increased. It acts on DCT and collecting duct and helps in reabsorption of water.

3. Control by ANF

Atrial Natriuretic Peptides (ANF)  opposes the regulation by RAAS.  ANF inhibits the release of renin from the JGA and thereby inhibits NaCl reabsorption by collecting duct and reduces aldosterone release from the adrenal gland.

If the total number of the team are not in power of two (i.e.,2,4,8,16,32,..), then to find the number of byes, we subtract the number of participating team (say, number of teams is 10) from the next power of 2 (in this case, 16). Thus, for 10 teams, the number of required byes will be, 16-10 = 6 byes. Byes should be divided equally in the upper and lower half.

maximum height,h_m=10m Initial velocity,v_0=28 m/s Now,h_m = {(v_0 sinθ_0)^2}/2g Or,10 = {(28sinθ_0)^2}/20 Or,(200)^1/2 = 28sinθ_o Or,sinθ_ο ={14.14}/28 Or,θ_ο = asin[0.5] = 30° The projectile is projected at an angle of 30° with the horizontal. (NOTE: asinx is another notation for sin inverse x).

The grandmother of author is too old to look . Her face was a criss-cross of wrinkles. She had looked the same since the author knew her. She was short and fat and had a little stoop. In spite of her old age, she spend most of her time saying prayers and fedding the breads to the sparrows. She was fond of reading the scriptures also. She had a kind-hearted woman. She took great delight in feeding birds and animals. She dressed in spotless white. In her soul also, she was spotless white. Her inner purity lent her spiritual place

Preeti Dabral 6 years, 5 months ago

Author’s grandmother was a very religious and independent woman. Her energy to walk with a hand on her waist and agility to perform all the tasks made her exuberant. She had a firm belief in God therefore, she always remained busy in telling the beads of her rosary and reciting the prayers. Besides, she had a strong will power and ability to overcome her emotions at all the stages of her life. She was a philanthropist as well as an altruist who made stale chapattis every day for the stray dogs. She was a social butterfly who shared her joys and sorrows with all the neighbourhood women of the society. In nutshell, she was an impeccable woman with a lot of devotion and selfless attitude.
