The feudal system was a pyramidal or a hierarchical system which flourished during medieval period in Europe. Its four main features were:
- The king was at the topmost level of the feudal system. Below him were nobles known as barons followed by knights.
- The serfs or the peasants occupied the lowest strata in the feudal system.
- The Castle was the chief characteristic of feudalism. The feudal Lords lived in huge castles or forts. The living house and court of the Lord existed inside the castle.
- The king gave lands to barons and the latter provided troops to the King.

sp hybridization is observed when one s and one p orbital in the same main shell of an atom mix to form two new equivalent orbitals. The new orbitals formed are called sp hybridized orbitals. It forms linear molecules with an angle of 180°
- This type of hybridization involves the mixing of one ‘s’ orbital and one ‘p’ orbital of equal energy to give a new hybrid orbital known as an sp hybridized orbital.
- sp hybridization is also called diagonal hybridization.
- Each sp hybridized orbital has an equal amount of s and p character, i.e., 50% s and p character.
Examples of sp Hybridization:
- All compounds of beryllium like BeF2, BeH2, BeCl2
- All compounds of carbon-containing triple Bond like C2H2.

Doppler’s Effect
- Doppler Effect is the phenomenon of motion-related frequency change.
- Consider if a truck is coming from very far off location as it approaches near our house, the sound increases and when it passes our house the sound will be maximum. And when it goes away from our house sound decreases.
- This effect is known as Doppler Effect.
- A person who is observing is known as Observer and object from where the sound wave is getting generated it is known as Source.
- When the observer and source come nearer to each other as a result waves get compressed. Therefore wavelength decreases and frequency increases.

Prince Siddhartha was the only son of king Shuddhodana. The king loved him very much. He provided him all the luxuries of the palace. The astrologers had told the king that the Prince would be a great hermit. In the end he came to be known as Lord Buddha. We find in him the following qualities :
1. A born thinker: The Prince was not an ordinary man. He was very thoughtful from his childhood. He was born in a royal family. His life was full of luxuries and comforts. Yet he always thought about the life outside the palace. He wanted to see the realities of life. So he visited the city twice.
2. Loving, merciful and sympathetic : When the Prince saw an old man, a sick man and a dead body, he was very much grieved. He said, “The world suffers from fear. Love is short lived. Life ends into hateful death. So I shall do my best not to let anyone cry with pain.” When he saw the sick man crying for help, he lifted him up and comforted him. Thus he was loving, merciful and sympathetic.
3. A good son and a good husband : The Prince was a good son. He obeyed his father and always sought permission to go to the city. He was a loving and true husband also. He could never bear the tears in the eyes of his wife, Yashodhara.
4. Curious for knowledge : The Prince was very curious to get the knowledge of the world and its sufferings. He asked Channa many questions and got knowledge about different happenings.
5. A super human : The Prince had an extraordinary understanding. He got knowledge very soon. He sacrificed all his kingly pleasures and left home. He gave valuable advice to the people. So he became known by the name of Gautam Buddha.
