These r the following functions of monasteries:- 1. It is derived from the greek word 'monos' which means someone who live alone. 2.They spend their most of the time in prayers . 3. Inspired people to lead a simple life. 4. Inspired people to donate and serve sick 5. Open many free educational centers. 6. Open convent schools. 7.they also help sick peoples. 8. Unlike priest, both man and woman can become monk.. women monk known as nuns. 9. For example- toothpastes : colgate, close up,pepsodent etc . are all toothpastes but have different taste ,packagings , ingredients i.e., the product is differentiated.
