Poikilothermic animals are usually defined as those living species that are able to adapt to the changing environmental conditions, by undergoing variations in the internal body temperature. They are also considered to be cold-blooded animals.
For example, reptiles and fishes.
On the other hand, homeothermic animals are referred to as those living species that able to regulate their body temperature by maintaining constant internal body temperature and are commonly considered as warm-blooded animals.
For example, birds and mammals.

The porins are proteins that form huge pores in the outer membranes of the plastids, mitochondria and some bacteria allowing molecules up to the size of small proteins to pass through. Thus they play an important role in facilitated diffusion.

This law exhibits the short-run production functions in which one factor varies while the others are fixed.
Also, when you obtain extra output on applying an extra unit of the input, then this output is either equal to or less than the output that you obtain from the previous unit.
The Law of Variable Proportions concerns itself with the way the output changes when you increase the number of units of a variable factor. Hence, it refers to the effect of the changing factor-ratio on the output.

Generally, the electronic configuration of these elements is (n-1) d 1–10ns 1–2. The (n–1) remains for the inward d orbitals which may have one to ten electrons and the peripheral ns orbital may have one or two electrons. The d–block involves the middle area flanked by s– and p– blocks in the periodic table. The very name "transition" given to the elements of d-block is simply because of their position amongst s– and p– block elements. The d–orbitals of the penultimate energy level in their atoms get electrons leading to the three columns of the transition metals, i.e., 3d, 4d and 5d. The fourth line of 6d is still inadequate

- Consider the fluid initially lying between B and D. In an infinitesimal timeinterval Δt, this fluid would have moved.
- Suppose v1= speed at B and v2= speedat D, initial distance moved by fluid from to C=v1Δt.
- In the same interval Δtfluid distance moved by D to E = v2Δt.
- P1= Pressureat A1, P2=Pressure at A2.
- Work done on the fluid atleft end (BC) W1 = P1A1(v1Δt).
- Work done by the fluid at the other end (DE)W2 = P2A2(v2Δt)
- Net work done on the fluid is W1 – W2 = (P1A1v1Δt− P2A2v2Δt)
- By the Equation of continuity Av=constant.
- P1A1 v1Δt - P2A2v2Δt where A1v1Δt =P1ΔV and A2v2Δt = P2ΔV.
- Therefore Work done = (P1− P2) ΔVequation (a)
- Part of this work goes in changing Kinetic energy, ΔK = (½)m (v22 – v12) and part in gravitational potential energy,ΔU =mg (h2 − h1).
- The total change in energy ΔE= ΔK +ΔU = (½) m (v22 – v12) + mg (h2 − h1). (i)
- Density of the fluid ρ =m/V or m=ρV
- Therefore in small interval of time Δt, small change in mass Δm
- Δm=ρΔV (ii)
- Putting the value from equation (ii) to (i)
- ΔE = 1/2 ρΔV (v22 – v12) + ρgΔV (h2 − h1) equation(b)
- By using work-energy theorem: W = ΔE
- From (a) and (b)
- (P1-P2) ΔV =(1/2) ρΔV (v22 – v12) + ρgΔV (h2 − h1)
- P1-P2 = 1/2ρv22 - 1/2ρv12+ρgh2 -ρgh1(By cancelling ΔV from both the sides).
- After rearranging we get,P1 + (1/2) ρ v12 + ρg h1 = (1/2) ρ v22 + ρg h2
- P+(1/2) ρv2+ρg h = constant.
- This is the Bernoulli’s equation.

Limber-down: After the training session a limber down of 15-20 minutes is essential to help an athlete to recover. Some light exercises are performed without giving jerk to the body to bring back the body temperature near to normal level. Limbering-down is also known as cooling-down exercises.
Importance:
(a) Promotes quick recovery from fatigue.
(b) Slow exercise done after strenous activity continues the blood pumping action of the muscles, thus preventing pooling of blood in extremities,
(c) Muscular stiffness and soreness is prevented
(d) Reduces aches, pains and one feels fresh for training session next day.

- Accepts deposit – The bank takes deposits in the form of saving, current, and fixed deposits. The surplus balances collected from the firm and individuals are lent to the temporary required of commercial transactions.
- Provides Loan and Advances – Another critical function of this bank is to offer loans and advances to the entrepreneurs and businesspeople and collect interest. For every bank, it is the primary source of making profits. In this process, a bank retains a small number of deposits as a reserve and offers (lends) the remaining amount to the borrowers in demand loans, overdraft, cash credit, and short-run loans etc.
- Credit Cash- When a customer is provided with credit or loan, they are not provided with liquid cash. First, a bank account is opened for the customer and then the money is transferred to the account. This process allows a bank to create money.
- Discounting bills of exchange – It is a written agreement acknowledging the amount of money to be paid against the goods purchased at a given point of time in future. The amount can also be cleared before the quoted time through a discounting method of a commercial bank.
- Overdraft Facility – It is an advance given to a customer by keeping the current account to overdraw up to the given limit.
- Purchasing and Selling of the Securities – The bank offers you with the facility of selling and buying the securities.
- Locker Facilities – Bank provides lockers facility to the customers to keep their valuable belonging or documents safely. Banks charge a minimum of an annual fee for this service.
- Paying and Gather the Credit – It uses different instruments like a promissory note, cheques, and bill of exchange.
