Kushwant's grandmother celebrated a lot and sung warrior's home coming song when his grandson came back from abroad. she even neglected her prayers so..bcoz of overstraining she was taken ill the next day .at her last moment she was distressed that she who had been a typical religious women had neglected her prayers just before the final exit from the world so she didn't wnat to talk with anyone and just recited prayer.....and unfortunately no one knows when she left for heavenly abode,.........?? The following instances from the narrative shows that kushwant's grandmother was a kind hearted woman.. let's have a glance at these:- 1.in the story it is shown that grandma used to give stale chapattis to the dogs while on thier way to school( in village) 2.she used to feed sparrows. They perched on her shoulders,and even on head.. she never shooed the sparrows away.
