Let x = 10's digit of a two digit number
Let y = units digit
Let z = the resulting equal digits
:Write an equation for each statement:
the sum of a two digit number is 10.
x + y = 10
or
y = (10-x)
if 18 be subtracted from it, the digits in the resulting number will be equal.
10x + y - 18 = 10z + z
10x + y = 11z + 18
Substitute (10-x) for y
10x + (10-x) = 11z + 18
10x - x = 11z + 18 - 10
9x = 11z + 8
The single digit integer values for x and z are limited to x=7 and z=5 in this equation:
x = 7, y = 3, z = 5
The number is 73
Check in the statement:
"if 18 be subtracted from it, the digits in the resulting number will be equal."
73 - 18 = 55

This studies the problem of distribution of final goods and services or the problem of distribution of income.
It has two aspects. The first aspect relates to personal distribution and the second aspect relates to functional distribution.
Personal distribution refers to output/income share of individuals or households in society.
Functional distribution refers to income share of different factors of production.
Here, the problem is whether allocation of resources is promoting equality or not.
Equality is a social virtue, and inequality may induce high saving, investment and hence high rate of growth.

Since geography is relates to studying the Earth, and the Earth is continually changing. Nothing on Earth remains in a static position. The only constant on the Earth is change. The rate of things change differs from place to place.
The geographical phenomena, both human and physical, are highly dynamic. They change gradually because of the inter-active processes between ever hanging earth and ever-active and untiring human beings. There subsist changes over the earth’s surface in its physical as well as human and cultural environs.
Many phenomena are similar and several are dissimilar. It is, thus, logical to distinguish geography as the study of a real differentiation. Therefore, geography is supposed to study those phenomena that differ over space. Geographers study the changes/variations/adaptations in the phenomena over the surface of the earth as well as study the relations with the other factors that cause these changes.
For instance, cropping patterns vary from area to area; however this variation in cropping pattern, as a phenomenon, is associated with changes in climates, soils, market demands, and ability of a farmer to invest and technological inputs available to them. Therefore, the concern of geography is to discover the causal connection between any 2 phenomena or between more than one phenomena.
Primitive human societies were directly reliant on their immediate environs. Geography, therefore, is connected with the study of Human and Nature inter-actions as a unified whole. ‘Human is an essential part of ‘nature’ and ‘nature’ has the human imprints. ‘Nature’ has impacted different facets of human life. Its imprints is seen on clothing, food, occupation, and shelter. Human beings have gradually accepted nature by way of adaptation and modification.

The narrator
The narrator was a 37-year-old businessman. He proved as a great captain and father during the challenging and trying times after the irreparable damage done to Wavewalker by keeping his composure and wits. It won’t be wrong to say that the all lives on the boat could be saved just because of his seafaring skills.
Mary
Mary was the narrator’s wife. She was a courageous and brave woman. She stood by her husband after the wave badly damaged the boat. She steered the boat according to her husband’s instructions. She gave lots of emotional support to the narrator.
Suzanne
Suzanne was narrator’s seven year old daughter. She was very brave. She was critically injured at the time the huge wave struck the boat. Her eyes were terribly swollen because of the head injury. There was a cut on her arm also; however, she did not cry. She repeatedly told her father she was alright; the truth was she was not. She had to undergo six minor operations to remove the blood clotting from her brain.
Jonathan
Jonathan was Gordon Cook’s 6 year old son who had accompanied him on the round-the-world-journey. After the Wavewalker was terribly broken by the colossal wave, he also behaved very courageously. He gave a new strength to his father when he said he was not afraid to die if he could be together with the family. These words filled the author with new determination and courage. He resolved to fight till the end to save his family from being drowned in the stormy sea.
Larry Vigil and Herb Seigler
Larry Vigil and Herb Seigler were two professional sailors whom the narrator hired at Cape Town to tackle one of the world’s roughest seas, the southern Indian Ocean. They proved to be real saviours when the ship had been flooded with the sea water. They pumped like madmen to keep the water levels reasonably low.

Sampling is a process used in statistical analysis in which a predetermined number of observations are taken from a larger population. The methodology used to sample from a larger population depends on the type of analysis being performed, but it may include simple random sampling or systematic sampling. The main types of probability sampling methods are simple random sampling, stratified sampling, cluster sampling, multistage sampling, and systematic random sampling. The key benefit of probability sampling methods is that they guarantee that the sample chosen is representative of the population.
