A piece of hail (called a hailstone) is a lump of ice that falls out of a storm cloud.

Meghna Thapar 5 years, 3 months ago (6237)

Hail is a form of solid precipitation. It is distinct from ice pellets, though the two are often confused. It consists of balls or irregular lumps of ice, each of which is called a hailstone. Ice pellets fall generally in cold weather while hail growth is greatly inhibited during cold surface temperatures. Hailstones are formed when raindrops are carried upward by thunderstorm updrafts into extremely cold areas of the atmosphere and freeze. Hailstones then grow by colliding with liquid water drops that freeze onto the hailstone's surface.

Directive Principles of State Policy aim to create social and economic conditions under which the citizens can lead a good life. They also aim to establish social and economic democracy through a welfare state. The Constitution lays down certain Directive Principles of State Policy, which though not justiciable, are 'fundamental in governance of the country', and it is the duty of the State to apply these principles in making laws.

Yogita Ingle 5 years, 3 months ago (2577571)

Constitution deal with the Directive Principles of State Policy. The Directive Principles are the guiding principles for governance but are not enforceable by any court.
That does not change the fact that they are nevertheless fundamental to the governance of this country. These principles provide the social and economic guidance for Indian Democracy and pave the way for the establishment of a true welfare State.
As the name indicates, these principles command the State and its instrumentalities to follow certain fundamental principles while formulating and pursuing policies
These principles are the guiding light for the attainment of the objectives that our Constitution aspires for. These principles chalk the path for the State to follow in order to secure the greatest good for the greatest number in the way consistent with our Constitutional philosophy and vision.
The Directive Principles envision for all citizens the equality of opportunity and adequate means of livelihood, avoiding concentration of wealth in few hands. In short, the Directive Principles envisage equality, liberty and freedom.

The Indus Valley Civilisation was a Bronze Age civilisation in the northwestern regions of South Asia, lasting from 3300 BCE to 1300 BCE, and in its mature form from 2600 BCE to 1900 BCE. The civilization was first identified in 1921 at Harappa in the Punjab region and then in 1922 at Mohenjo-daro (Mohenjodaro), near the Indus River in the Sindh (Sind) region. Both sites are in present-day Pakistan, in Punjab and Sindh provinces, respectively. Mohenjo-daro was discovered in 1922 by R. D. Banerji, an officer of the Archaeological Survey of India, two years after major excavations had begun at Harappa, some 590 km to the north.

Colligative properties are those which depend on no of particles like ions but not on nature off solute

Yogita Ingle 5 years, 3 months ago (2577571)

Colligative properties are properties of a solution which depend only on the number of particles like ions or molecules of the solute in a definite amount of the solvent but not on the nature of the solute.

Meghna Thapar 5 years, 3 months ago (6237)

In chemistry, colligative properties are those properties of solutions that depend on the ratio of the number of solute particles to the number of solvent molecules in a solution, and not on the nature of the chemical species present. The number ratio can be related to the various units for concentration of a solution, for example, molarity, molality, normality (chemistry), etc. The assumption that solution properties are independent of nature of solute particles is only exact for ideal solutions, and is approximate for dilute real solutions. In other words, colligative properties are a set of solution properties that can be reasonably approximated by assuming that the solution is ideal.

Only properties which result from the dissolution of nonvolatile solute in a volatile liquid solvent are considered. They are essentially solvent properties which are changed by the presence of the solute. The solute particles displace some solvent molecules in the liquid phase and therefore reduce the concentration of solvent, so that the colligative properties are independent of the nature of the solute. The word colligative is derived from the Latin colligatus meaning bound together. This indicates that all colligative properties have a common feature, namely that they are related only to the number of solute molecules relative to the number of solvent molecules and not to the nature of the solute.

The Britishers ruled over India for a long time. Their law was arbitrary. They used to introduce any law at any time which they deemed correct. But the fact was that the laws were applied to harass or humiliate Indians. For example, Rowlatt Act was passed which allowed the British government to imprison people without due trial. Britishers discriminated Indians on the basis of their colour and race. Different laws were made for Whites (Britishers) and Blacks(Indians). Indian nationalists began protesting and criticizing the arbitrary use of authority by the British. They asked for a greater share of Indians in the government. They taught for their identity and dignity. They asked British government to make same rules for both the Britishers and the Indians. Nationalists defied to obey their set of rules and openly broke laws which they meant not justified. They asked the Britishers to justice with the Indians by making rational laws.

Yogita Ingle 5 years, 3 months ago (2577571)

Arbitrary law is a law which has been passed by the legislator to fulfil his motives or simply out of his will. Rowlatt act was a classic example of arbitrary law which allowed the British government to imprison anybody without trial.
Some other examples of arbitrary law include:
a. Sedition laws which allows the police to arrest anybody it suspects of seditious speech
b. AFSPA ( Armed Forces Special Powers Act) which allows armed personnel to arrest anybody without specifying reason.

The impedance of two capacitors in series is equal to the sum of the individual impedances of the two capacitors. Since the impedance is proportional to the inverse of the capacitance, the larger impedance of the series circuit means a smaller capacitance. Capacitors connected in series will have a lower total capacitance than any single one in the circuit. This series circuit offers a higher total voltage rating. The voltage drop across each capacitor adds up to the total applied voltage. ... This is why series capacitors are generally avoided in power circuits.

Realized there is one subject every student learns, regardless of his or her major: stress. It can be helpful — stress is a natural way our brain communicates with the body to restore balance. Other times, stress can be so overwhelming it gets classified with a clinical name. Mental health issues in college students are on the rise, with anxiety and depression being the most common.

With technological advancements, we are the most connected, fast-paced and busy generation yet. Society is more disconnected from individual interaction than ever before. Financial stressors are among the biggest worries college students share. The combination of business, lack of person-to-person interaction and financial worry is a perfect storm for misdiagnosed cases of anxiety and depression. It is easy to “brush off” these problems as everyday stressors, but it is vital to know the difference between everyday stress and mental health issues.

Any student who has made his or her way through a full semester has experienced what an exam week feels like. This is a period of worry, restlessness, dietary changes and varied sleep patterns. Physical symptoms include muscle tension, fatigue, difficulty sleeping, irritability, chest pain and headaches. Students need to realize that these negative things are normal, but should be temporary. If these things are part of a Buckeye’s daily routine, he or she should seek help. Help can be found through Ohio State’s very own Psychological Services Center.

At the time Bhima kills the demon Hidimba who was king of demons of forest Kamyaka, he meets his sister Hidimbi; they eventually get married and have a son, Ghatotkacha. Hidimbi promises Kunti that she and Ghatotkacha will stay out of the Pandavas' lives and away from the luxuries of court. When Bhima killed the demon Hidimba, he became the King of Kamyaka for 5 years. In Mahabharata, the demon army from Kamyaka fought the war alongside Pandavas.

Then the Pandavas attended the Swayamvara of Drupada princess, Draupadi. The Pandavas, led by Arjuna, were successful at the Swayamvara. With his brothers, he was married to Draupadi, who gave birth to a son, Sutasoma. At a later stage, Bhima also married Valandhara, the daughter of the king of Kasi, and had a son named Savarga. Among Bhima's three sons, Sarvaga did not participate in the Kurukshetra war, Sutasoma was killed by Ashwatthama and Ghatotkacha was killed by Karna. In the Hindu epic Mahabharata, Sarvaga was the son of Bhima and his wife Valandhara. He ascended to the throne of Kashi. In the Hindu epic Mahabharata, Valandhara was the princess of Kashi and the wife of Bhima. They had a son Sarvaga.

In the poem "The Dust of Snow" Robert Frost talks about the importance of small things in our lives. These small things can change the attitude of the people at a large level. In the poem, the poet writes about a crow who shakes off the snow dust. The poet wants the readers to learn from the crow and shake off all the miseries and sadness in the same way. Such small imagery which are present around us have a lot to teach us. These images can change the mood of the people as they did to the poet in the poem.

(a) The iris is the part of the eye that controls the amount of light entering the eye.

(b) The retina is the part of the eye on which images are formed.

(c) The ciliary muscles change the focal length of the eye lens.

Light passes through the front of the eye (cornea) to the lens. The cornea and the lens help to focus the light rays onto the back of the eye (retina). The cells in the retina absorb and convert the light to electrochemical impulses which are transferred along the optic nerve and then to the brain.
