By issuing the Declaration of Independence, adopted by the Continental Congress on July 4, 1776, the 13 American colonies severed their political connections to Great Britain. The Declaration summarized the colonists’ motivations for seeking independence. By declaring themselves an independent nation, the American colonists were able to confirm an official alliance with the Government of France and obtain French assistance in the war against Great Britain.

Examples of physical properties include melting, transition to a gas, change of strength, change of durability, changes to crystal form, textural change, shape, size, color, volume and density. In a physical change appearance or form changes, but substance remains same. Ice on melting converts to water. Water on evaporation converts to water vapor. All the products formed are still forms of water. Hence, this is a physical change.
Examples of Physical Changes
- Crushing a can.
- Melting an ice cube.
- Boiling water.
- Mixing sand and water.
- Breaking a glass.
- Dissolving sugar and water.
- Shredding paper.
- Chopping wood.

Bhil Uprisings
Economic distress, famine and misgovernment led to the uprising against the British in I 817-18. The British succeeded in suppressing the Bhil rising partly by military action and partly by conciliatory policy adopted by Elphiston. It was Govind Guru, the social and religious leader of the Bhil community for more than three decades, who was the pivotal force in uniting Bhils to demand a separate entity in the British period. The movement led to the infamous Mangarh massacre on November 17, 1913.

Dr. Sadao and Hana were enjoying their time with each other when they suddenly saw something flung from the ocean.
It was a black figure in the mist who was walking towards them with his arms above his head. He was drenched with blood and he fell.
Both hesitated in the beginning because he was an American and there was war already. If they helped him, they would be taken to task. But true to the doctors humanitarian quality, he decided to save the wounded Sailor from the US Navy.
Dr. Sadao started to treat him. While doing so, he felt that any other person would have died with so many wounds and deep cuts and also when pushed in the ocean. But this sailor had real vitality and that was what Dr. Sadao felt.
