(ii) Money cannot buy us a disease-free life and might not be able to get protection from infectious disease.
(iii) Besides money, people also like to have equal treatment in the society, freedom, dignity and honour in their life, which money cannot buy them.

Yama means restraints or abstention. Yamas are practices to eliminate wrong, harmful or disturbing behaviour. They create a foundation of right living. Yama consists of five moral codes of conduct. These are :
(i) Ahimsa or non-violence : It means not to hurt any creature mentally or physically through mind, speech or action. We must not display any negative emotions or injure anyone.
(ii) Satya or truthfulness : It is a presentation of a matter with truthfulness in thought, word and deed. We must not tell a lie in all the dealings of life.
(iii) Asteya or Non-stealing : of anything in life such as money, material, ideas, speeches or writings. We should feel satisfied, whatever God has given us.
(iv) Celibacy or Brahmacharya : It means refraining from all the activities related to sexual enjoyment directly or indirectly.

The term sustainable development is applied to the development of a country or world, that is to resume and maintained for future generations. For instance, groundwater; it is generally rendered by nature. Accordingly, we must consume groundwater in a manner that it can be said a Rational or careful use of resources. Dear Sir
Subject: Nuisance caused by loudspeakers in the city during examination days
Through the columns of your esteemed newspaper I would like to draw the attention of the authorities concerned to the nuisance caused by the indiscriminate use of loudspeakers at religious places, wedding processions, market places and jagrans during the examination days. Students are unable to concentrate on the heavy backlog of revision work during these days. The result is that they fare badly in the examinations and this leads to frustration and unhappiness among students. Their parents also suffer due to it. It is high time the authorities concerned take a serious note of this nuisance and initiate remedial measures to check the problem. Use of loudspeakers should be totally banned irrespective of the place where these are used. It is not only a cause of nuisance but also adds to the noise pollution.
Yours faithfully
Prabhu Kumar

The Latin word ‘abax’ from which the word abacus is derived means a flat surface or table. Today, abacus has evolved into a framed wooden object with strings of plastic or wooden beads. The ancient abacus was a flat board or tablet on which stones or shells were moved in order to calculate. It was only in Rome that a metal abacus originated similarly to what is used these days. Abacus has an origin in countries like Europe, China and Russia but its exact time of origin is unknown.

According to the valence bond theory, Electrons in a molecule occupy atomic orbitals rather than molecular orbitals. The atomic orbitals overlap on the bond formation and the larger the overlap the stronger the bond. The metal bonding is essentially covalent in origin and metallic structure involves resonance of electron-pair bonds between each atom and its neighbors.

For example.
KOH(aq)+HNO3(aq)→KNO3(aq)+H2O(aq)
It is called neutralisation as both KNO3KNO3 (salt) and H2OH2O that are formed as the products, are of neutral nature.
