Rows are numbered numerically from top to bottom while Columns Columns are referred by alpha characters from left to right. In Excel 2007, there are 65536 Rows which are numbered as 1, 2, 3, … 65,536. These numbers are shown on the left most portion of the worksheet. Columns Columns (total 256 in Excel) are identified by letters, such as A, B, C,.. AA… IV, and are shown on the horizontal box just above Row 1. Thus, there are 65,536 256 = 1,65,00,000, approximately cells, which is indeed a huge work area, sufficient for all application requirements in one sheet.

In 1878 William Crooks carried out discharge tube experiments and discovered new radiations and called them cathode rays. Since these rays travel from the cathode towards anode. Later, J.J Thomson studied the characteristics of cathode rays and concluded that cathode rays are negatively charged particles, now called electrons. The name electron was given by Johnson Stoney.

1. Silk routes – They are a good example of vibrant pre modern trade and cultural links between distant parts of the world. The name ‘silk route’ denotes the importance of West bound Chinese silk cargoes along this route.
2. Food travels – Food offers many examples of long distance cultural exchange. Traders and travelers introduced new crops to the lands they travelled. It is believed that ‘noodles’ travelled west from China to become spaghetti.
3. Conquest, disease and trade – The pre modern world shrank greatly in the 16thcentury after European sailors found a sea route to Asia and also successfully crossed the western ocean to America. The Entry of Europeans helped expand or redirect some of these flows towards Europe.

Planned development means a development designed to provide for an unusual or different arrangement of residential, business, or industrial uses in accordance with an approved development plan. The Planning Commission plays a central role in the planning process in three important ways. First, it acts as an advisory board to the City Council on all planning and development issues. Second, the commission assures that the general plan is implemented by reviewing development applications on a case-by-case basis.
