Let the current age of Rahul and Haroon be 5x and 7x respectively
Four years later their ages become 5x + 4 and 7x + 4 respectively.
According to the question,
5x + 4 +7x + 4 = 56
or 12x + 8 = 56
Transposing 8 to the RHS we get,
12x = 48
Dividing both sides by 12 gives,
x = 48/12 = 4
Thus current age of Rahul = 5×4 = 20
Haroon = 7×4 = 28

Answer:
-
a) The Weimar Republic crushed the rebellion
-
b) The Spartacists founded the Communist Party of Germany
Explanation:
The Spartacist League was a revolutionary socialist group which was formed in Germany during the First World War. Gradually, it became a movement as many workers joined this movement demanding the formation of the Soviet-styled government.
As Germany was undergoing financial crisis because of their participation in the First World War, the League was formed by the people who opposed the War. They wanted to establish a Soviet-styled government in Germany. After their movement was suppressed by the Weimer republic, the Spartacists later founded the Communist Party of Germany.

C program to find roots of a quadratic equation: Coefficients are assumed to be integers, but roots may or may not be real.
For a quadratic equation ax2+ bx + c = 0 (a≠0), discriminant (b2-4ac) decides the nature of roots. If it's less than zero, the roots are imaginary, or if it's greater than zero, roots are real. If it's zero, the roots are equal.
For a quadratic equation sum of its roots = -b/a and product of its roots = c/a. Let's write the program now.
Roots of a Quadratic equation in C
#include <stdio.h>
#include <math.h>
int main()
{
int a, b, c, d;
double root1, root2;
printf("Enter a, b and c where a*x*x + b*x + c = 0\n");
scanf("%d%d%d", &a, &b, &c);
d = b*b - 4*a*c;
if (d < 0) { // complex roots, i is for iota (√-1, square root of -1)
printf("First root = %.2lf + i%.2lf\n", -b/(double)(2*a), sqrt(-d)/(2*a));
printf("Second root = %.2lf - i%.2lf\n", -b/(double)(2*a), sqrt(-d)/(2*a));
}
else { // real roots
root1 = (-b + sqrt(d))/(2*a);
root2 = (-b - sqrt(d))/(2*a);
printf("First root = %.2lf\n", root1);
printf("Second root = %.2lf\n", root2);
}
return 0;
}

- Rods and Cones are the photoreceptors found in the eye, rods have rod-like structure and provide twilight vision, while cones are of the cone shape, fewer in number and provides the vision in the day or bright light.
- Rods are found around the boundary of the retina, whereas cones are there in the centre of the retina.
- Out of the 125 million photoreceptors, rods are about 120 million in the human eye and cones are 5 million photoreceptors.
- The outer segment is cylindrical of rods which contain rhodopsin pigment, made up of Vitamin A, while the outer segment is conical of cones which contain iodopsin pigment.
- Cones provide colour vision, which is of three types: red, blue and gree, whereas rods cells do not give colour vision, they do not have any differentiation.
- Lack of the rhodopsin in the rods may cause night blindness, while lack of the iodopsin in the cones may cause colour blindness.
- Rods provide the vision in the dull light (darkness or night), whereas cones are known to give the vision during the day or bright light.

Rewrite 9p2
9p2 as (3p)2
Now,
(3p)2−16
Rewrite 16 as 42
(3p)2 − 42
Since both terms are perfect squares, factor using the difference of squares formula, a2−b2=(a+b)(a−b) where a=3p and b=4
(3p+4)(3p−4)

Ruler bars are located on the top and left sides of the Stage and serve several purposes. They let you measure the width and height of Flash elements and they let you place guides on the screen to control placement of objects on the Stage. In all, Rulers serve a very important role. When you display rulers, you can use guides to help you correctly align objects with other objects. By using guides, you have access to precise alignment systems. To use the guides, the ruler bars must first be visible. When you no longer need the rulers, you can hide the rulers to free up more workspace.

In reality the Third Level is the creation of Charley's own mind, fantasy and whim. He is inhabiting in the modern world which is full of insecurity, fear, war, worries, stress and tension. He has to confront with them round the clock. The harsh realities of life are making our stay unpleasant and unbearable. There is a mental tension which is transforming our lives burdensome and heavy. Charley has an escapist mind. Even stamps collecting is a temporary refuge from reality. So he talks to his psychiatrist friend Sam about the third level at the Grand Central Station. He terms it as a “ waking-dream wish fulfilment.”
In this lesson even the writer Jack Finney interweaves Charley in the midst of fantasy and reality. The compulsions and realities of modern life make Charley escape into a world of fancy and romance. There is a refererence to his grand father's stamp collection of 1894 in the lesson. In those days there was peace as well as tranquility. So there was no need for escape. For Charley the Grand Central is an exit and he wanders down to the third level and finds himself into the world of 1894 which used to be a romantic living. So the Third Level is indirectly a mode of escape for Charley.

It was a time when the elephant had no trunk. Golu was a baby elephant. He had only a bulgy nose. He ‘could only move it from side to side. But he couldn’t pick up things with it.
He was full of questions. He asked his aunt, the ostrich why she didn’t ever fly like other birds. He asked his tall uncle, the giraffe why his skin has spots. He asked the hippopotamus why his eyes were always red. Finally, he asked the monkey why melons tasted like melons.
One day Golu asked the mynah bird what the crocodiles always had for dinner. The bird directed him to the Limpopo river to find out. Taking a lot of sugarcanes, ba¬nanas and melons, he went to the great river. He met a python, and put his question and got no reply.
Golu moved on the river bank when he saw a log of wood. It was really the cunning crocodile. Golu put his question to him. He told that he would give the reply in his ear. It caught Golu by the nose, and told that today he would eat the elephant. It started dragging him hard into the stream.
Golu cried for help. The python came and coiled fast round Golu’s stomach. Both pulled very hard. At each pull Golu’s nose grew longer and longer. He was free at last.
In two days his nose grew cool but it did not shrink. Instead, it turned into a trunk. However, it proved to be very advantageous. Golu first hit a stinging fly dead with his trunk. Then he plucked the grass and put it into his mouth. The trunk enabled him to dig up some mud and throw it on his head. He thanked the python for its help.
