?????? ? ??? दक्षिण एशिया के गांव आम तौर पर कच्चे मकानों, कच्ची सड़कों और पिछड़ेपन के लिए जाने जाते हैं. लेकिन भारत के गुजरात प्रदेश में दर्जनों ऐसे गांव हैं जिन्हें 'करोड़पतियों के गांव' कहा जाता है. ये गांव अत्यंत खुशहाल और समृद्धि के स्तर पर कई शहरों से बेहतर हैं. यह विरोधाभास किसी को भी चकित कर सकता है कि यहां के 'ग्रामीणों' ने अरबों रुपये बैंकों में जमा कर रखे हैं. कच्छ इलाके में बल्दिया गांव को गुजरात का सबसे धनी गांव कहा जाता है- चौड़ी सड़कें, बड़े और सुंदर मकान इस गांव की समृद्धि का परिचय देते हैं. यहां की सुंदरता और समृद्धि किसी यूरोपीय गांव में होने का भ्रम पैदा कर सकती है. विदेश में भी संपत्ति स्थानीय पत्रकार गोविंद केराई बताते हैं, "यहां के आठ बैंकों के दो साल का डेटा अगर देखें तो इनमें डेढ़ हज़ार करोड़ रुपये जमा हैं. डाकखाने में भी लोगों ने पांच सौ करोड़ रुपये से ज़्यादा जमा कर रखे हैं." गांव के कई मकानों में ताले पड़े हुए हैं. गांव के निवासी देवजी विजोड़िया ने बताया कि यहां के अधिकतर निवासी विदेश में रहते हैं. वो कहते हैं, "मैं कीनिया का हूं, सामने जो दो लोग बैठे हैं वो ब्रिटेन में रहते हैं. हम लोगों का घर वहां भी है और यहां भी. हम लोग साल में दो तीन महीने यहां आकर रहते हैं. हमारे बच्चे विदेश में ही रहते हैं." गांव में नौ बैंकों की शाखाएं भुज शहर के पास ऐसे कई गांव हैं जिन्हें 'करोड़पतियों का गांव' कहा जाता है. बल्दिया से कुछ ही दूरी पर है गांव माधापुर जो अपनी खुशहाली के लिए दूर-दूर तक जाना जाता है. इस गांव में नौ बैंकों की शाखाएं हैं और दर्जनों एटीएम लगे हुए हैं. एक स्थानीय किसान खेमजी जादव ने बताया कि यहां के अधिकतर निवासी करोड़पति हैं. वो कहते हैं, "यहां सब धनवान हैं, करोड़पति हैं. लोग बाहर कमाते हैं और यहां पैसा लाते हैं." गांव में रहने वाले अधिकतर लोग पटेल बिरादरी के हैं. बल्दिया गांव के निवासी जादव जी गरेसिया एक कंस्ट्रक्शन कंपनी के मालिक हैं. उनका परिवार पहले विदेश में था. वो बताते हैं कि यहां का पुश्तैनी पेशा खेती है. लेकिन आज की तारीख में यहां के लोग कई मुल्कों में फैले हुए हैं. वो कहते हैं, "इस गांव के लोग अफ्रीका, ख़ास तौर पर नैरोबी में ज़्यादा हैं. कुछ लोग ब्रिटेन में भी आबाद हैं. बहुत सारे लोग सेशैल्स में भी हैं. अब ऑस्ट्रेलिया भी जा रहे हैं." बड़े बूढ़े ज़्यादा, नौजवान कम लोगों ने बरसों तक विदेशों में मेहनत करने के बाद सफलता हासिल की और दौलत कमाई. माधापुर की गांव प्रमुख प्रमिला बेन अर्जुन पुड़िया कहती हैं कि इसके बाद भी लोगों ने गांव से अपना रिश्ता बनाए रखा है. वो कहती हैं, "लोग अपने परिवार के साथ जाते हैं, वहां धन-दौलत कमाते हैं, लेकिन आख़िर में वो यहीं आकर रहते हैं." इन गांवों में नौजवान कम और बड़े-बूढ़े ज़्यादा दिखाई देते हैं. एक छात्रा प्रियंका ने बताया कि गांव के अधिकतर नौजवान विदेश में हैं. वो कहती हैं, "मां बाप यहां आ जाते हैं. अब यहां भी हर तरह की सुविधाएं हैं. यहां भी पैसा आ गया है. इसलिए अब कुछ नौजवान यहां भी रहने लगे हैं और यहीं कारोबार कर रहे हैं." लगभग सौ साल पहले यहां के लोगों ने व्यापार और बेहतर ज़िंदगी की तलाश में विदेशों का रुख़ किया था. वहां से वो एक बेहतर सोच और आर्थिक संपन्नता के साथ लौटे और फिर उसे आगे बढ़ाया. ये खुशहाली सिर्फ इन्हीं गांवों तक सीमित नहीं है. यहां से लगभग बीस किलोमीटर दूर गुजरात का भुज शहर स्थित है जिसकी गिनती भारत के खुशहाल शहरों में होती है.
