Article 80 of the Constitution lays down the maximum strength of Rajya Sabha as 250, out of which 12 members are nominated by the President and 238 are representatives of the States and of the two Union Territories. The present strength of Rajya Sabha, however, is 245, out of which 233 are representatives of the States and Union territories of Delhi and Puducherry and 12 are nominated by the President. The members nominated by the President are persons having special knowledge or practical experience in respect of such matters as literature, science, art and social service.

The Fourth Schedule to the Constitution provides for allocation of seats to the States and Union Territories in Rajya Sabha. The allocation of seats is made on the basis of the population of each State. Consequent on the reorganization of States and formation of new States, the number of elected seats in the Rajya Sabha allotted to States and Union Territories has changed from time to time since 1952.

Refractive index (n) :- is defined as the ratio of speed of light in air to the speed of light in medium

Uzma Choudhary 5 years ago (10260903)

Refractive index is a physical value which gives us a measure of ratio of speed of light in m1 to speed of light in m2

Gaurav Seth 5 years ago (2898529)

The ratio between the speed of light in medium to speed in a vacuum is the refractive index. When light travels in medium other than the vacuum, the atoms of that medium continually absorb and re-emit the particles of light, slowing down the speed light.

The formula of the refractive index is as follows:

n=c / v

Where,

n is the refractive index

c is the velocity of light in a vacuum ( 3 × 108 m/s)

v is the velocity of light in a substance

Electric motor: A motor is a device which converts electrical energy into mechanical energy.
Principle of motor : A motor works on the principle that when a rectangular coil is placed in a magnetic field and current is passed through it. A force acts on the coil which rotates it continuously.

  1. When electric current is passed into the rectangular coil, this current produces a magnetic field around the coil.
  2. The magnetic field of horse shoe-type magnet then interacts with the magnetic field of the coil and causes the coil to rotate continuously.
  3. If ABCD is in horizontal position current from battery enters the coil through brush B _{ 1 }, and commutator half ring C:. The current flows in the direction ABCD
    and leaves via ring and brush B _{ 2 }
  4. The direction of current is from A to B, the direction of current is from C to D. The force on side AB of the coil is in the downward direction. Whereas the force on the side CD of the coil is in the upward direction. ABCD rotate in anti-clockwise direction.
  5. While rotating when the coil reaches vertical position then the brushes B _{ 1 } and B _{ 2 } will touch the gap between the commutator rings and current to the coil is cut off. But the coil does not stop rotating because it has already gained momentum.
  6. The coil CD comes on the left side and AB comes to the right side. Again they come in contact with brush B _{ 1 } Current direction is reversed.
  7. The reversing of current in the coil is repeated after every half rotation due to which the coil continue to rotate as long as current from the batter is passed through it. The rotating shaft of electric motor can drive a large number of machines which are connected to it.

Nayanars

Alvars

Nayanars were devoted to Lord Shiva and his avatars Alvars were devoted to Lord Vishnu and his avatars
Nayanars were active around the 6th-8th Century AD Although modern scholars consider the Alvars to be active between the 5th and 10th Century AD, they are believed to have lived between 4200 BCE – 2700 BCE
The high priest of Raja Raja Chola I, Nambiyandar Nambi, compiled the hymns into a series of volumes called the Tirumurai. The hymns of the Alvars were made into a consolidated volume known as Divya Prabandha.
The Nayanars were from various backgrounds, including Brahmins, Harijan, and nobles. Along with the twelve Vaishnava Alvars, they are regarded as the important Hindu saints from South India. The Bhakti literature that sprang from Alvars had contributed to the establishment and sustenance of a culture that broke away from the ritual-oriented Vedic religion and rooted itself in devotion as the only path for salvation

Meaning of Anthropometric measurement-

Anthropometric measurements means measurements of height, weight, arm, leg length, waist circumference and skin folds etc.

HEIGHT: Height of an individual must be measured using a stadiometer to the nearest half of a centimeter.

Weight: Correct weighing machine should be used and measurement must be recorded to the nearest 0.1 kg.

Arm length: Measurement should be done from the bony tip of the shoulder to the tip of the little finger.

Upper arm length: To measure the upper length the arm should be bent 90 degree at the elbow with palm facing upwards.

Leg length: It can be measured by using a flexible steel tape from the outside edge of Centre of the foot to the upper edge of the greater trochanter.

Upper leg length: Bend the knee at 90 degree angle & sit up straight. Measure the upper leg length from inguinal crease to the proximal border of patella to the nearest of 0.1 centimeters.

Subject: Issue Books For Books Bank

Sir:

Respectfully I wish to state that our class has started Books Bank in the class in order to make books easily available. With books lying on the library book-shelves, many students feel reluctant to go there and have the books issued as it is quite time consuming. Our class has taken the initiative of starting a books bank. I myself will be responsible for the issuing of books. We have developed a software to keep track of books to be issued. Our class students have contributed money to start the bank. Each student has contributed book/s to the bank. I request you to issue a few books from the school library to be kept in the bank. Our class will be totally accountable for the books borrowed. Thanking you.

Yours faithfully,

Navadeep

Legal reserve ratio refers to the minimum fraction of deposits which the banks are mandate to keep as cash themselves. The legal reserve ratio is fixed by Central bank. Legal Reserve Ratio has two components:

Cash Reserve Ratio (CRR)-It refers to cash reserves of Commercial Banks with the Central Bank as a percentage of their deposits.

Statutory Liquidity Ratio (SLR) refers to reserves in the form of liquid assets (including (i) cash, (ii) gold, and (iii) approved securities) with the Commercial Banks themselves, as a percentage of their total deposits.

Both CRR and SLR are fixed by the Central Bank, and both are a legal binding for the Commercial Banks. In this sense, both CRR and SLR are legal reserve ratios.

AB= √(9-9)²+(6-0)² = 6
BC= √(-9-9)²+(6-6)² = 18
CD = √(-9+9)²+(0-6)² = 6
DA = √(-9-9)²+(0-0)² = 18
so,it's opposite sides are equal,hence it is rectangle.

Let the point be A(5,−6), B(−1,−4) and P(0,y)

Point P is on y−axis,hence its x co-ordinate is 0.So, it is of the form P(0,y)

Now, we have to find ratio.

Let the ratio be k:1

Hence m1=k,m2=1,x1=5,y1=−6,x2=−1,y2=−4,x=0,y=0

Using sections formula x= (m1x2+m2x1)/m1+m2

⇒0=−k+5/k+1

∴k=5

Again y=(m1y2+m2y1)/m1+m2

=−4k−6/ k+1 = (−20−6)/ 6 for k=5

=−13/3

Hence the coordiantes of point is P(0,−13/3)

In physics a force field is a vector field that describes a non-contact force acting on a particle at various positions in space. Specifically, a force field is a vector field {\displaystyle {\vec {F}}}{\vec {F}}, where {\displaystyle {\vec {F}}({\vec {x}})}{\vec {F}}({\vec {x}}) is the force that a particle would feel if it were at the point {\displaystyle {\vec {x}}}{\vec {x}}. In speculative fiction, a force field, sometimes known as an energy shield, force shield, force bubble, defence shield or deflector shield, is a barrier made of energy, plasma, or particles. It protects a person, area, or object from attacks or intrusions. This fictional technology is created as a field of energy without mass that acts as a wall, so that objects affected by the particular force relating to the field are unable to pass through the field and reach the other side. This concept has become a staple of many science-fiction works, so much that authors frequently do not even bother to explain or justify them to their readers, treating them almost as established fact and attributing whatever capabilities the plot requires.
