Refractive index

Speed of light in vacuum= 3.00×108 m/s.

The amount of change in speed of light in a medium depend upon the property of medium(refractive index)
Refractive index is a measure of how much speed of light changes when it enter the medium from air.
Absolute refractive index is the ratio of speed of light in vacuum or air to speed of light in the medium.

       c

n=——

       ν

Relative refractive index

              Speed of light in medium 1

n21 = ————————————–

              Speed of light in medium 2

Refractive index of medium 2 wrt medium 1 is known as refractive index of medium 2.

              Speed of light in medium 2

n12= ————————————–

               Speed of light in medium 1

Refractive index of medium 1 wrt medium 2 is known as refractive index of medium 1.

1)When light goes from rarer medium to denser medium.

Sin i         n1

——- = —— >1

Sin r         n2

Sin i >Sin r

∠i=∠r

Reflected ray bend toward normal.

2)When light goes from denser medium to rarer medium.

Sin i         n2

——- = ——- <1

sin r         n1

Sin i < Sin r

∠i < ∠r

Reflected ray bend away from the normal.

Refractive index depend on nature of material of medium,density of medium,colour or wavelength of light.

The monocular cues of depth perception induce depth in objects when viewed through a single eye. They are also known as pictorial cues as they are used by artists to induce depth in two-dimensional paintings. Important monocular cues are relative size and height, interposition, linear and aerial perspective, light and shade, texture gradient, and motion parallax.

The binocular cues of depth perception are provided by both the eyes in three-dimensional spaces. Their role in the perception of depth is as follows:

(i) Retinal or Binocular disparity: It occurs when the two eyes have different locations in the head and are separated horizontally with a difference of 6.5 centimetres. The difference in the images formed by the eyes is due to the retinal disparity. Large retinal disparity means a close object and small retinal disparity means a distant object.

(ii) Convergence: When the eyes converge inward to bring the image on the fovea of each eye, a group of muscles sends messages to the brain which are interpreted as cues to the perception of depth. The degree of convergence decreases with an increase in distance of the object.

(iii) Accommodation: It is the process through which the image is focussed on the retina with the help of a ciliary muscle. These muscles change the thickness of the eye lens. The degree of contraction of the muscles provides a cue to distance. The muscles relax when the object is distant and contract when the object is near.

Because RNA is a single stranded more reactive and unstable .

Yogita Ingle 5 years ago (2577571)

A virus is a small parasite that cannot reproduce by itself. Once it infects a susceptible cell, however, a virus can direct the cell machinery to produce more viruses. Most viruses have either RNA or DNA as their genetic material. The nucleic acid may be single- or double-stranded.

When the genetic material is single-stranded RNA then it is the RNA virus.

The viruses that have DNA as genetic material are the DNA viruses. They have the mechanism related to the replication of the DNA and the enzymes. The DNA replication enzyme DNA polymerase has a special quality that is the proofreading which prevents the mutations as it eliminates them. whereas in the RNA viruses they don't have this property as they have RNA polymerase and they dot have his tendency and thus the mutation is faster.

Information and Communications Technology (ICT) has an important role in the world since we are now in the information age era. With ICT, the company can make the business easier to happen with the client, supplier and the distributor. It is also very important in our daily lives. The lack of appropriate information at the right time will result in low productivity, low quality research works, and waste of time to pursue information and even to do research which actually others had done or in other countries. Nowadays ICT cannot be separated with our daily needs.

ICT has a great impact in our daily lives. For example, we can read our local newspaper using the online newspaper. Another example is we still can get connected with our family, relatives, or colleagues even if we are abroad by using the electronic mail, yahoo messenger, call conference, or video conference.

Digital computer and networking has changed our economy concept to the economy with no boundary in time and space because of ICT. It brings a lot of advantages for economic development enabling millions of transactions to happen in an easy and fast way.

ICT is one of the economic development pillars to gain national competitive advantage. It can improve the quality of human life because it can be used as a learning and education media, the mass communication media in promoting and campaigning practical and important issues, such as the health and social area. It provides wider knowledge and can help in gaining and accessing information.

ICT has become an integral part of everyday life for many people. It increases its importance in people’s lives and it is expected that this trend will continue, to the extent that ICT literacy will become a functional requirement for people’s work, social, and personal lives.

The use of ICT in education add value in teaching and learning, by enhancing the effectiveness of learning, or by adding a dimension to learning that was not previously available. ICT may also be a significant motivational factor in students’ learning, and can support students’ engagement with collaborative learning.

वीप्सा अलंगकार परिभाषा

आदर, घबराहट, आश्चर्य, घृणा, रोचकता आदि प्रदर्शित करने के लिए किसी शब्द को दुहराना ही वीप्सा अलंकार है। जब किसी कथन में अत्यन्त आदर के साथ एक शब्द की अनेक बार आवृत्ति होती है तो वहाँ वीप्सा अलंकार होता है;

When banking habits of people improve, they start holding less money as cash-in-hand. Instead, more and more money is deposited with the commercial banks. Accordingly, cash reserves of the commercial banks start rising. Higher cash reserves of the banks enable them to deposit more funds with the RBI as CRR deposits. If CRR remains constant, higher CRR-deposits with the RBI give the commercial banks legal authority to create more credit by way of loans /credit. Accordingly, availability of credit from the commercial banks is increased.

Given : a circle of diameter 40cm,the length of a chord is 20 cm,

To Find : the length of the minor arc of the chord

Solution:

Chord Length = 20 cm

Diameter = 40 cm

Perpendicular from center on chord bisect the chord

Hence Half of chord = 10 cm

Radius = 40/2 = 20 cm

Sin ( 1/2 of chord angle )  =  10 /20

=> Sin ( 1/2 of chord angle )  = 1/2

=> Sin ( 1/2 of chord angle )  = Sin 30°

=>  1/2 of chord angle =  30°

=> chord angle =  60°

Minor arc angle = 60°

or another way to get angle

as Radius = 20 cm

Chord length = 20 cm

Hence it forms an Equilateral triangle

Hence angle formed by chord at center = 60°

Minor arc angle =  60°

length of the major arc of the chord = (60/360) * 2π * Radius

= ( 1/6 ) * 2π * 10

= 10π/3

= 50 * 3.14/3

=  10.47  cm

Yogita Ingle 5 years ago (2577571)

Diameter of the circle =40 cm
∴ Radius (r) of the circle = 40/2 =20 cm
Let AB be a chord (length = 20 cm) of the circle.
In △OAB, OA = OB = Radius of circle = 20 cm
Also, AB = 20 cm
Thus, △OAB is an equilateral triangle.
∴θ=60=π/3 radian
We know that in a circle of radius r unit, if an arc of length I unit subtends an angle θ radian at the centre, then θ=l/r
∴π/3 = arc AB/20

⟹arc AB = 20/ 3π cm

Management is not considered as a full-fledged profession like medical and legal profession because:

1. Restrict entry: Management has restricted entry through an examination or degree as in profession.

2. Presence of professional associations: All profession has some associations affiliated to it and even management has association affiliated to it.

3. Existing of ethical code: For every profession there are some set of ethical codes fixed by the profession association. Management also has some ethical codes fixed by the concerned professional association.

The entire tertiary sector has not grown in importance because of the peculiarity of the skills and income it entails. Highly skilled and educated professionals make the upper end of this spectrum whereas the other end comprises of low skilled people, small shopkeepers, repairpersons, transport persons, domestic servants etc.

Though the highly skilled professionals make rapid growth in terms of development and income, those at the lower end are barely able to make a living. Such a disparity has hindered the growth of the tertiary sector in entirety.
