New Assessment Scheme in CBSE Schools
Under Under the new system, students will be evaluated through formative and summative assessments throughout the academic year that will be divided into two terms. While formative assessment includes continuous evaluation throughout the year, summative assessment will require students to appear for exams at the end of each term.
Highlights of CBSE 2009 Examinations
To strengthen the importance of ‘Hands On’ experience in realizing the concepts and construction of knowledge, the practical – skill based multiple choice question paper for Board’s class X Examination were based on list of experiments included in class X as well as class IX syllabus.
Equal weightage in terms of marks (10+10) was assigned to questions based on class IX experiments and class X experiments. Accordingly, the publication on assessments of practical skills in science was revised and made available to schools.
Verification of Marks for CBSE 2009 Examination
Facility of verification of marks is available to all candidates. The candidates can apply for verification of marks in a manner that their applications reach the respective regional office(s) within 21 days of the declaration of result in case of Main Exam i.e. Exam held in March/April. However for Comptt Exam, i.e. Exam held in July, the application must reach respective regional offices with in 15 days of the declaration of the result.

Admission to CBSE Exam as Private Candidate from Delhi
Persons eligible to appear as ‘Private Candidate’ at Delhi Senior School Certificate (Class XII) Examination
1. A candidate who had failed at the Delhi Senior School “Certificate Examination of the Board will be eligible to reappear at a subsequent examination as a private candidate in the syllabus and text books as prescribed for the examination of the year in which he/she will reappear.
2. The following categories of candidates shall also be eligible to appear as private candidates at the Delhi Senior School Certificate Examination of the Board on the conditions laid down in these bye laws :

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Mathematical Olympiads are the competitions conducted by different organizations to identify, encourage, promote and nurture the talent in Mathematics at State, Regional, National and International levels.
After having been accorded the status of an independent group by National Board of Higher Mathematics (NBHM) in 1997, Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi has been conducting CBSE Group Mathematical Olympiad for students studying in its affiliated schools.
