Guidelines Obtaining Various Certificates Duplicates from CBSE

  • Candidate applying for duplicate documents and Migration Certificate upto Examination of 2001 may send application along with fee to the Deputy Secretary, Central Board of Secondary Education, Todarmal Marg, Ajmer, (Rajasthan). All payments be made in favour of Secretary, CBSE, payable at Ajmer and mode of payment shall be IPO / Bank Draft only. Those applying personally at Ajmer Office may deposit fee in cash also.
  • In case the fee is remitted by crossed Postal Order / Bank Draft, it must be drawn in favour of the Secretary, Central Board of Secondary Education, payable at the concerned Regional Office.
  • Triplicate copy or of further copies of qualifying certificates shall not be issued unless the Controller of Examinations is further satisfied by some documentary evidence that the duplicate copy has also been actually lost / destroyed.
  • Fees prescribed for various certificates are as follows (DOCUMENTS WILL BE RECEIVED AFTER 15 DAYS ( EXCLUDING HOLIDAYS)) :
For duplicate copy of a certificateRs.100.00
For a migration CertificateRs.100.00
For certificate of Date of BirthRs.100.00
For a Provisional CertificateRs.100.00
For duplicate copy of Statement of MarksRs.100.00

Obtaining Various Certificates Duplicates from CBSE

  • If certificate is required after two days (excluding holidays) an urgent fees of Rs.100.00 extra may be remitted. If the certificate is required by post an extra amount of Rs. 25.00 may also be remitted. (Rs. 35/- for outstation candidates)
  • In case the document is not collected by the applicant within three months from the date of depositing the fees, it will be cancelled and the candidate will have to apply afresh in case he needs the same.
  • The certificate will ordinarily be issued after two weeks (excluding holidays) from the date of receipt of the application from and the fee, provided the application form is found complete in all respects.
  • All certificates for Delhi Region will be delivered on the production of receipt issued by the Board between 3 to 5 PM only (excluding holidays). The fee from candidates of Delhi Region for 2003 and onwards examinations can be deposited between 9.15 AM to 1.15 PM on every working day at Syndicate Bank, PS 1-2, Institutional Area, Patparganj, Delhi-110092
  • Migration certificate is issued only to those candidates who have passed an examination of the Board or to those who have been placed in compartment in order to enable them to seek admission for a further course of study. The failed candidates should not apply for migration certificate and Provisional Certificate. Please also mention previous year’s Roll No. if passed in second chance compartment examination for Provisional Certificate
  • The students of Chennai Region who have passed examination in 1991 or later should apply to Chennai Regional office only for obtaining duplicate documents.

My daughter named VERTIKA has passed cbse in 2007.Her pass certificate send by RO allahabad in time.But a little mistake is framed on the pass certificate that is photograph of VERTIKA shoud be there.But there is wrong photo of Md.Ali is pasted on the certificate.Many a times myself and the Principle of school recall your memory but still i could not get the correct certificate of my daughter.please disposed off my grievances neither i will knock the door of hon’ble High court.

    Respectfully I want to draw your kind attention
    My daughter named VERTIKA has passed CBSE in 2007.Her pass certificate send by RO Allahabad in time. But there is wrong photo of Md.Ali is pasted on the certificate.RO Office had told me on telephone to send the Original pass Certificate to amend the photograph which is wrongly pasted at the place of VERTIKA and I send the Original Pass certificate by speed post as per the direction.   25. My son named SIDDHANT CHAUDHARY has passed his XII th exams from KV School, Sector 24, Noida – 201301 vide his Roll No. 5702467. But when he received his makes sheet, Senior Secondary certificate & Migration certificates, he found that there was an error in his name in all certficates. It is SIDDANT CHAUDHARY, where as it should be SIDDHANT CHAUDHARY.
    I have sent a written request along with a copies of all certificats to your regional office, Allahabad thru speed post docket no. EL 354093193I date 07.07.2009. I have also sent a copy of his Xth exam certificate for your kind persual.Kindly look into it & do the needful.

    2. Certificate of Merit for being Rank 7 in 5th Junior National Mathematics Olympiad 2003.
    3.Certificate for being Runner up in Regional Table tennis tournament held at KV malleswaram, bangalore in 2003
    4. Certificate for winning 1st prize in Science Skit competition conducted during national science day celabration by ISRO, bangalore in 2003.

    My CBSE class 10th & 12th orginal certificates have been lost. I am sending you a letter to inform me the fees required for obtaining the duplicate since at CBSE office in Patparganj one officer told me I have to send the draft of Rs. 135 for each duplicate copy with the application form. This fee is not tallying with your website fee for the same (Rs. 50). Kindly inform urgently.

    I recently got my duplicate certificates and marksheets from CBSE Ajmer and it was very easy to get as opposed to what’s mentioned here. [ i don’t know about other offices as i visited the Ajmer office ]

    Just go to CBSE Ajmer office submit the form and fees and they would provide you all required documents the same day [ may be after couple of hours if you submit the fees early in the morning or if you request them that you have a train and all that and you need to leave early.. the staff there is helpful and very courteous.

    do remember following documents –

    for Mark sheets and Migration certificates – Completed Forms + Rs. 100 in Cash or DD [ form should be complete ]
    for Certificates – Completed Form + Rs. 100 in Cash or DD + Affidavit from Notary + Affidavit from School + News Paper clipping [ last three documents in original and are a must ]
    Affidavit from Notary can also be obtained from Tea Stall Owner just opposite CBSE office[ though it would be better if you get it made beforehand

    Just submit the documents and they will ask you to collect between 3 to 4, but most were disbursed prior to that. they keep on preparing and calling names so you can go there and collect.
    Forms can be downloaded from CBSE website and are also available there, but its better to download as the sample affidavits are given in the forms so you know the proper language fo affidavits and if your forms are filled you can just go there and submit the fees earlier than others.

The problem is in my reason. My father expired last year and he used to take care of our certificates and mark sheets. I have searched every corner of my house and also in his office but unsuccessful. So, I dont know the exact reason.
