CBSE Rechecking Form 2018.  CBSE result 2018 is out. Class 12 result was declared on 26th May 2018 and class 10 result was declared on 29th May 2018. Now it’s time to apply for rechecking, photocopy of answer sheet and re-evaluation.

The whole process is to be completed in 3 steps. You can not skip any of them. The steps are:

1. Rechecking (verification) of Marks
2. Obtaining photocopy of answer sheet
3. Applying for Re-evaluation

No one is allowed to obtain photocopy of answer sheet or apply for re-evaluation directly. Only those who applied for rechecking (verification) of marks can apply for photocopy of their answer booklet and those applied for photocopy can only apply for re-evaluation.

CBSE Rechecking Form 2018

CBSE rechecking forms are available in CBSE website. Students can apply for rechecking (verification) of marks from June 1, 2018 to June 5, 2018 in CBSE website. The whole process will be done online. Students can pay the requisite fee online using net banking. Fee can be paid till 7th June, 2018.

Rechecking is nothing but only re-totalling of your marks from first page of the answer booklet. Keep note that examiner is not going to see what you have written and how much marks you got for it. He/she will check following things:

1. Re-total the marks from first page.
2. Check if marks are given for each and every question.
3. Check if any answer is left un-evaluated.
4. Check if marks are carried forwarded to first page correctly.

• How to apply: Online in CBSE Website
• Dates: 1st June, 2018 (Friday) to 5th June, 2018 (Tuesday)
• Fee : Rs. 500/- per subject
• Mode of payment: Credit/ Debit/ Net banking
• Last date of payment: 7th June, 2018 (Thursday)

Photocopy of Answer Sheet

Once the rechecking result is out, students can apply for obtaining photocopy of answer sheet. Rechecking result is expected in 7-8 days as you have to apply for re-evaluation on 21st-22nd June, 2018.

• How to apply: Online in CBSE Website
• Dates: 15th June, 2018 (Friday) and 16th June, 2018 (Saturday)
• Fee : Rs. 700/- per subject for class 12 and Rs.500/- per subject for class 10.
• Mode of payment: Credit/ Debit/ Net banking
• Last date of payment: Upto 18th June, 2018 (Monday)

Applying for Re-evaluation

1. Only those candidates who have applied for obtaining photocopy of the evaluated answer book shall be eligible to apply for re-evaluation or challenge the marks awarded to any question(s).
2. Request for re-evaluation/challenges shall be entertained only for theory portion @ Rs. 100/- per question
3. Request for revaluation/challenge for particular question(s) only in theory paper shall be received only online on 21st June 2018 and 22nd June 2018 Payment through Credit /Debit Cards /Netbanking
4. Request for RE-EVALUATION WILL ONLY BE ACCEPTED ONCE. ANOTHER CHANCE WILL NOT BE GIVEN
5. he applicant will have to refer to the marking scheme in the subject concerned which would be available on the website along with the question paper and then submit application for re-valuation in the required question(s) with reasoning
6. In cases where marks are increased or decreased a fresh marks statement shall be issued to such candidates after surrendering the old Marks Statement by the candidate(s) concerned.
7. the status of revaluation shall be uploaded on the website for the subject and question (s) for which applied for, followed by a formal letter by speed post;
8. the decrease even by one mark shall be effected
9. NO APPEAL OR REVIEW AGAINST THE RE-EVALUATION WOULD BE ENTERTAINED.
10. the Board will not be responsible for any loss or damage or any inconvenience caused to the candidate, consequent to the revision of marks, if any or delay in communication for reasons beyond control
11. NO APPLICATION WILL BE ACCEPTED WIHOUT FEE
12. INCOMPLETE APPLICATIONS WILL BE SUMMARILY REJECTED
13. Fees once deposited shall not be refunded in any case.

• Dates: 21st June, 2018 (Thursday) and 22nd June, 2018 (Friday)
• Fee : Rs.100/- per question
• Mode of payment: Credit/ Debit/ Net banking
• Last date of payment: Upto 25th June, 2018 (Monday)

More details on Verification of Marks / Rechecking

1. Request for verification can be submitted only online from website of CBSE www.cbse.nic.in along with fee of Rs.500/- per subject as per schedule given in Annexure-I.
2. In case applying from India the requisite fee of Rs.500/- per subject can be deposited through payment gateway (Credit/Debit card/Netbanking). No fee shall be accepted in offline mode i.e Postal Order/DD/Money order/ cheque etc.
3. The result of verification will be uploaded on the website of CBSE. However, in case of a mistake (or change in marks) a formal letter will also be sent to applicant by speed post through concerned Regional Office of CBSE. In case where there is no change of marks, no letter will be sent by CBSE. Applicants are advised to visit website of CBSE for the status of verification request.
4. Board will not be responsible for any loss or damage or any inconvenience caused to the candidate, consequent to the revision of mark(s) or delay in communication, for reasons beyond control.
5. Incomplete applications/offline applications will be summarily rejected.
6. Request for verification will only be accepted once. Another chance will not be given.
7. Only those candidates who apply online for verification of Marks will be eligible to apply for obtaining photocopy of answer book.
8. Fees once deposited shall not be refunded in any case.

Difference between Revaluation and Rechecking

The terms Re-evaluation and rechecking seems similar and most of the students get confused while using these terms in general. There is some core differences in these two processes and it must be understood correctly.

Re-evaluation Vs Rechecking

Revaluation is completely fresh evaluation of the answer booklet.	Rechecking is only re-total of marks from first page.
Re-evaluation is done by another teacher who can’t see how much marks were given to particular answer by previous teacher.	Rechecking is re-calculation of marks. Teacher can see marks given by previous teacher.
It checks evaluation mistakes for each answer and assign fresh marks.	It checks only calculation mistakes. No marks are changed.
Revaluation was done for maximum 10 questions till last year but no such restriction is mentioned this year.	Rechecking calculates sum of marks given to each question.
Revaluation is done for selected subjects in class 12 only	Rechecking can be done for all the subjects and both class 10 and class 12.
Re-evaluation was introduced in 2014 and discontinued in 2017 and started in 2018 again.	Rechecking was there for years and will continue in future too

Exam Pattern and Grading for Class 12.

• The assessment of theory or practical papers in external subjects will be in numerical scores. The grades will be indicated on the mark sheet.
• Qualifying marks for external examinations are:
  • 33% at the Secondary or Senior School Certificate Examinations
  • 33% marks in theory
  • 33% marks in the practical separately
• The Board shall classify all passing students in rank order and then award grades as follows:
  • A1: Top 1/8th of the passing candidates
  • A2: Next 1/8th of the passing candidates
  • B1: Next 1/8th of the passing candidates
  • B2: Next 1/8th of the passing candidates
  • C1: Next 1/8th of the passing candidates
  • C2: Next 1/8th of the passing candidates
  • D1: Next 1/8th of the passing candidates
  • D2: Next 1/8th of the passing candidates
  • E: Failed candidates

CBSE Rechecking process 2018 & Photocopy of Answer sheet

CBSE Rechecking Form 2018 These students can apply for re-evaluation of their answer scripts by filling the form of revaluation or if they are not satisfied with the marks they have been provided. Students will have to fill the form in the university and have to wait for the CBSE 12 Exam Rechecking Result 2018. CBSE will announce the date of submitting Revaluation Form on the official website of the board  www.cbse.nic.in. Students can visit the official website to check the Central Board 12th Exam Rechecking result Date 2018.
