Freundlich adsorption Isotherm:
- Freundlich proposed this relation to show a relation between the extent of adsorption and pressure.

If there are solutions involved, the above equations become

Where x -> amount of adsorbate
m-> mass of adsorbent
p-> pressure
C-> concentration of adsorbate

Features of teh Mahajanpads were:
- Mahajanpads were forms of early states which were formed after combining several 'janas'. In sixth century BCE ancient India, there were 16 mahajanpads.
- While some mahajanpads had a monarchial form of governement ruled by the king, others were 'gana' or 'sanghas' or oligarchies. They were ruled by a group of people.
- Each mahajanpad had its own fortified capital city. The king lived in the capital.
- As mahajanpads developed, they built large standing armies and the system of bureaucracy to administer states.
- The king collected taxes from the people and spent the revenues on state administration and building of armies.

Backcrossing is a crossing of a hybrid with one of its parents or an individual genetically similar to its parent, in order to achieve offspring with a genetic identity which is closer to that of the parent. It is used in horticulture, animal breeding and in production of gene knockout organisms. When F1 individuals are crossed with one of the two parents from which they were derived, then such a cross is called a back cross.

Thalassemia is a hereditary condition that affects the blood which leads to an abnormal form of haemoglobin. Haemoglobin is an important protein molecule present in RBC that carries oxygen. This disorder leads to the destruction of RBC which leads to anaemia. These range from a mild illness without symptoms to a serious or life-threatening disease. The modern treatment offers a good outlook on severe causes of thalassemia, but it requires long-term care and treatment. Good treatment is important in order to prevent complications from emerging. Thalassemia is most common among people with Mediterranean or Asian family backgrounds.

- Salt bridge is an inverted U-tube like structure.
- The tube is filled with concentrated solution of an inert electrolyte.
- The electrolyte does not undergo any sort of chemical reaction nor does it reacts with concentrated solution in the two half cells.
- Most of the time salts like KCl, KNO3, NH4NO3 are used as electrolyte.
- Salt bridge is constructed by filing the U-tube with a mixture prepared by mixing agar-agar or gelatin with a hot concentrated solution of the electrolyte.
- The apparatus is then cooled and consequently the solution fixes within the U-tube in the form of gel.
- This prevents the intermixing of fluids.
- The either ends of the tube are then sealed using cotton wool in order to reduce diffusion.
- The main advantage of suing this bridge is that it prevents the arousal of potential difference (also called liquid junction potential) when two solutions are in contact with each other.
- It completes the electrical circuit as it connects the electrolytes in the two half cells.
- It avoids the chances of diffusion of solutions between the half cells.
- It maintains electrical neutrality by providing a path for the movement of ions.
