Language retains the Identity as well as binds the people speaking it together . The very people will also be unified for a single cause, here it is Freedom. So, it is very important to know your mother tongue and the author stresses on the fact that if they know their mother-tongue they will be able to come out of their enslavement anytime it is as if they have the key to their prison

Direct taxes include income tax, property tax, corporate tax, estate tax, gift tax, value-added tax (VAT), sin tax, and taxes on assets. There are also indirect taxes, such as sales taxes, where a tax is levied on the seller but paid by the buyer. Examples of indirect taxes are excise tax, VAT, and service tax. Examples of direct taxes are income tax, personal property tax, real property tax, and corporate tax. Indirect taxes are those applied on the manufacture or sale of goods and services. These are initially paid to the government by an intermediary, who then adds the amount of tax paid to value of the goods / services and passes on the total amount to the end user. Examples : Sales tax, service tax, excise duty.

"SIMILE". hope it helps you?✌

Basketball Player 5 years, 7 months ago

Simile is used (eg- mother is compared with corpse 2-eg mother face is compared with winter's late moon)

Yogita Ingle 5 years, 7 months ago

The poem ‘My Mother at Sixty-six’ is rich in imagery. Kamala Das uses the devices of comparison and contrast. The use of simile is very effective. The face of the poet’s old mother is described as ‘ashen’. This ashen face is ‘like that of a corpse’. The poet uses another simile. The “wan, pale’ face of the mother is compared to ‘a late winter’s moon’.
The poem excels in contrasts. The old ‘dozing’ lady inside is contrasted with the young trees “sprinting” and merry children “spilling” out of their homes.

You can also add the basic tale which Jack used to tell to Jo. Plus the name of character like roger fish, roger chipmunk, roger squirrel etc. It will make your ans more suitable

Yogita Ingle 5 years, 7 months ago

With the help of his stories, Jack always aimed at imparting a moral message to his daughter, Jo and narrated stories which had a slight variation from the basic tale . Now that he is also running short of ideas and the stories are becoming quite predictable for her ,he thinks storytelling has become futile.

The creation of linguistic States was the first and a major test for democratic politics in our country. Many old States have vanished and many new States have been created. Areas, boundaries and names of the States have been changed. In 1947, the boundaries of several old States of India were changed in order to create new States. This was done to ensure that people who spoke the same language lived in the same State. Some States were created not on the basis of language but to recognise differences based on culture, ethnicity or geography. These include States like Nagaland, Uttarakhand and Jharkhand.
The advantage of creating linguistic states has actually made the country, more united. It has also made administration easier.
