In an economy, equilibrium level of income and employment is determined when AD (Aggregate Demand) is equal to AS (Aggregate Supply). According to Keynes, AS may be assumed to be elastic in an economy where full employment (of resources) is yet to be achieved. Accordingly, AD becomes the principal determinant of equilibrium level of income.
In the following figure, AD represents Aggregate Demand curve and 45° line is the line of reference, where AS =Y. Equilibrium level of income Y is determined at point E, where AD = AS. Prior to point E, Aggregate Demand exceeds Aggregate Supply, leading to an increase in level of income up to point E. Beyond point E, Aggregate Supply exceeds Aggregate Demand leading to a fall in income back towards point E.
It is only when AS = AD, that the equilibrium is struck. Because the equality between AS and AD implies that the desired level of output in the economy (as indicated by AS) is exactly equal to the desired level of expenditure (indicated by AD) in the economy. So that, the entire output as planned by the producers (during an accounting year) is purchased by the buyers. There are no undesired or unwanted inventories (stock of goods) with the producers.

Controlling involves comparison of actual performance with the planned performance. In a DNA molecule, the number of cytosine molecules is equal to guanine molecules and the number of adenine molecules is equal to thymine molecules. Thus, if a double-stranded DNA has 20% cytosine, it has 20% guanine. Thus, C + G makes 40% of the total bases. The remaining 60% includes both adenine and thymine which are in equal amounts. So, the percentage of adenine is 30%.

More than 70 percent of species recorded on the Earth are animals and only 22 percent species are plants. There is quiet a large difference in their percentage. This is because animals have adapted themselves to ensure their survival in changing environments in comparison to plants. For example, insects and other animals have developed a complex nervous system to control and coordinate their body structure. Also, repeated body segments with paired appendages and external cuticles have made insects versatile and have given them the ability to survive in various habitats as compared to other life forms.

When two phases meet, the boundary between them is known as an interface.
We have the following interfaces :
1) Solid - Solid interface
2) solid - liquid interface
3) liquid - liquid interface
4) Gas - liquid interface
5) Gas - Solid interface.
We do not have a gas - gas interface because gases diffuse rapidly and quickly therefore we cannot tell their interface.
