Traditionally, four types of restriction enzymes are recognized, designated I, II, III, and IV, which differ primarily in structure, cleavage site, specificity, and cofactors. Restriction enzymes that bind several sites in order to cleave exhibit several characteristics: Cleavage kinetics. Substrates with single sites are cleaved slowly and in some cases incompletely because enzymes must interact with ('bridge') two or more DNA molecules at once.

1. Understand the contents and weightage of the syllabus
2. Preparation from NCERT textbooks is the most important part
Though supplementary books may be used as references, the NCERT textbooks offer an exhaustive range of exercise questions and solved examples on every topic, which is more than enough to do well in your board examinations.
3. Strategize and THEN prepare!
The long form questions (5-6 marks), which are the most feared aspect of a paper, usually come from one of the following sections:
- Calculus, which carries a whopping 44% weightage, and can be really scoring
- Differential Equations consisting of the application based difficult questions.
- Vectors and 3D geometry carry the next highest 17% weightage.
The aforementioned topics are practice-based and the best way to gain perfection in them is to practice and solve more and more problems on them. Then,
- Probability, Relations and Functions and Algebra have a weightage of 10%, 10% and 13% respectively.
- Linear Programming: 6%
These topics don’t require additional practice beyond the ones you have covered in your NCERT textbooks.
In linear programming, a 5-mark question comes from this chapter, which can be dealt with through little practice of understanding the questions and writing the linear equations.
4. Practice sample papers and previous years’ papers
5. Say goodbye to rote learning!
6. Presentation is very important
7. Time management

Usually there would be a great bustle of opening and closing of the desk, lesson repeated loudly and the teacher’s ruler rapping on the table but that day was very calm and quiet like Sunday morning. The back benches which were usually empty were occupied by the village people and M. Hamel wore his special dress and was pacing up and down with a ruler under his arm

Character of Franz
Franz was a very young boy living in Alsace district of France. He had a layman's attitude to studies. At the beginning we find him feeling tempted to skive his school. However, we also come to know his inner strength of character when he overcomes that temptation.
We come to know his patriotism and love for his teacher after he comes to know about the sad news of the new order according to which teaching of French had to be replaced with German. He is shocked to know that that was M. Hamel's last lesson.
We see him getting remorseful for having ignored learning French. He wants to learn all the French in just one period. He is very sad at the departure of his teacher.

M.Hamel had been a devoted French teacher for 40 years. He was a strict disciplinarian and his students were terrified of him and his 'great ruler'. However, he was a respectable man. On the last day of school, many villagers, who had been taught by him at some point of time, had come to attend his lecture and pay homage to him. He give great importance to learning. French and considered it to be the most beautiful language of the world. However, he was melancholy and depressed that French had been banned from being taught, after France was overtaken by Prussia. His sorrow was evident in the gloomy way he sat in the class while his students were completing their writing assignment. He became nostalgic looking at the classroom and the adjoining garden. Before leaving the class, he broke down and so, could not speak any parting words.
