Dr. Sadao and Hana were standing outside their house. They saw someone flung by the waves of the sea. They went closer and saw that he was an enemy soldier. They were in a dilemma. They first thought of throwing him back in the sea. But their compassionate nature could not allow them to throw the wounded person into the sea.
So they decided to take him in and treat his wounds first and then hand him over to the police when he recovered. Dr. Sadao operated upon the wound of the American and brought the bullet out from the wound. He gave him an injection to boost up the pulse rate. Hana administered anaesthesia to the American. They served the soldier even after their servants left the house in protest against sheltering an enemy in the house. When the soldier was fully recovered from his illness, Dr. Sadao sent him back to sea to an unguarded island, from where he could go away in a Korean fishing boat.

Solution:
Let V be the given volume of cone.
V=Volume of cone =
h = Height of cone =
C=Curved surface area of cone = , where r is radius and l is slant height of cone.
C= , as l²= r²+ h²
For Maxima and Minima, derivative of C that is curved surface area should be equal to zero.
K=C²= π²r²(r²+h²)
K =
Differentiating both sides with respect to r
K' = 4π²r³ +
Putting , K'=0
=
h=
Let A be the semi vertical angle of the cone.
Cot A =
=
Cot A=
A=
Hence proved.

The decades of 1951-81 are referred to as the period of population explosion in India because of a rapid fall in death rate and high birth rate. The main causes of this explosion are as follows:
Widening Gap between Birth and Death Rates The average annual birth rate was 42 per thousand population but it came down to 28.7 per thousand in 1981. This shows that the birth rate has shown small decline and death rate has gone down rather sharply. This widening gap has increased our population rapidly.
Low Age of Marriage Child marriage has been very common in our country. As per census report, 72% marriage in India was performed before 15 and 34% before 10 years of age. The mean age at marriage of females increased from 15.6 in 1951 to 17.6 in 1981.
High Illiteracy During this period (1951-81), the overall literacy rate was very low. Due to this, they would be more orthodox, illogical and religious minded.
Religious Attitude towards Family Planning The religiously orthodox and conservative people are against the use of family planning measures. The women disfavoured family planning on the plea that they cannot go against the wishes of God.
Other Causes Joint family system and lack of responsibility of young couples in these families to bring up their children and lack of recreational facilities, and lack of information or wrong information about the adverse effects of vasectomy, tubectomy are some other causes of the rapid growth of population.

[i] Cognitive Disability
The nature of this disability is mental since cognitive domain is related to using mental abilities and achieving results from it.
It is related to impairments in intellectual functioning and adaptive behaviour. Intellectual functioning means person’s ability to plan, comprehend and reason while adaptive behaviour refers to applying social and practical skills in everyday life. Children suffering from dyslexia, learning difficulties, speech disorders, problem in solving math calculations, short span of attention and short of memory are said to have cognitive disability.
Causes of cognitive disability are as follows
- Cognitive impairment may be present at birth and may be genetic or chromosomal or result from complications of pregnancy.
- Chromosomal abnormalities such as Down syndrome, fragile X syndrome.
- Genetic abnormalities such as phenylketonuria, Hunter syndrome etc.
- Prenatal drug and infections and exposure to alcohol.
- Lack of oxygen during labour pain or birth.
[ii] Intellectual Disability
The nature of this disability is also mental since the intellectual domain is related to using the capacity of the mind. It is a disability characterised by significant limitations in both intellectual functioning and in adaptive behaviour. This is characterised by low intelligence quotient score (under 70) and significant problems in the ways learners adapt to new situations. It is different from cognitive because cognitive is a broad concept while intellectual disability is specific in nature.
Causes of intellectual disability are as follows
- Genetic Conditions These include things like Down syndrome and fragile X syndrome.
- Problems during Pregnancy This can interfere with fetal brain development.
- Alcohol or Drug Use may also cause intellectual disability.
- Problems during Childbirth Like if a baby is deprived of oxygen during childbirth or born extremely premature.
