Rag-picking is the only way for survival in Seemapuri. Garbage to them is gold. People here live in utter poverty. They are devoid of even the basic amenities of life. Health, education, sports etc. are not even in their dreams. Their poverty doesn’t allow them to live a hygienic and healthy life. They cannot even think of a good life and keep engaged in ragpicking or some type of menial jobs. Even small children work as ragpickers in the midst of danger of a number of diseases.

Seemapuri is a place on the periphery of Delhi yet miles away from it metaphorically, it means seemapuri is still not developed as Delhi. Because no authority had paid attention to it.The people of seemapuri had only own voter card and rasan card.

Saheb's full name was Saheb-E-Alam, which means the lord of the universe. Quite contrary to the meaning of his name, he does the menial job of rag picking and can't even have enough of two times meal.

saheb-e-Alam is the real name of saheb his name is ironic because he was a ragpicker but according to his name he should be the lord of the whole universe.

The narrator made the promise to Saheb that she will build a school for him and children like him because when she asked that why Saheb does not go to school , to this Saheb answered that there's not one so she promised him that she will build one. But when Saheb again asked her that is her school built now , she was embarrassed because she just made a fake promise to him and was not going to build an original one.

In this story, 'Lost Spring's Saheb and Mukesh were the 2 main characters of 2 different story and both of them suffered extreme poverty. In the 1st story Saheb was a child who did rag picking with his family to fullfill their needs. After a few days he started working in a tea stall and he is no longer his own master as he worked under someone. On the other side mukesh belonged to a family of bangle makers and works in bangle making industry along with his family but he was focused and determined for his aim to become a motor mechanic. Both Saheb and Mukesh were unable to move out of poverty and live a normal life,as they got no opportunities and it was almost impossible for them to fullfill their dreams. This was because the upperclass people, politicians and officials did not helped them at all ,rather they pushed them down in poverty for their greed. Also they did not had much knowledge about their rights and the importance of education, as no one told them about this. They both just followed the old customs and worked in poverty as no one guided them. Even the people who have the power to help them showed lack of interest in helping them. That is why this vicious cycle of poverty continues and the poor people becomes more poor and the rich becomes more richer. If the upperclass people and the men in power would have helped them to get out of poverty and get educated, then both Saheb and Mukesh would definitely be able to fullfill their dreams and enjoy their life like others. Also, it is the duty of common people to make them aware of their rights and tell them how they can move out of poverty stricken life so as to make them succeed in life.

Civil contempt is fairly simple. It is committed when someone wilfully disobeys a court order, or wilfully breaches an undertaking given to court. Criminal contempt is more complex. The punishment for contempt of court is simple imprisonment for a term up to six months and/or a fine of up to ₹.

Sadao Hoki was both an expert surgeon in the art of healing wounds and a scientist as well. At the age of 22, his father sent him to America to study surgery and medicine. There he fell in love with Hana but married after returning from Japan when his father was convinced that the girl was a pure Japanese. He was very generous and loyal to his country. His wife Hana was also a sympathetic, kind, obedient and faithful wife. While standing on the veranda of their house, they saw something crawling on the beach. They approached there and found that he was a wounded and an escaped prisoner of war. At one time they thought to throw him back in the sea. On the other hand, they thought that the fellow would die if handed over to the police. As a doctor he was trained to save a life if he could do.

There flowed the milk of human kindness in both of them. They brought him home but the servants were badly against them. Sadao performed the operation and his wife Hana stood by him through every thick and thin. There was a great risk of Dr. Sadao being arrested for harbouring a prisoner of war. Being a patriot, he declared everything to the General and was ready to face the consequences. This shows that both Dr. Sadao and his wife, Hana were sympathetic, loyal, patriot, compassionate and honest people.

Saheb was a child from Bangladesh whose full name was Saheb-e-Alam. His name is very ironical to what type of life he had to live in his real life. The meaning of his name signified lord of the universe but in reality, he lacked basic requirements of life.
Mukesh was the member of the bangle seller family in Firozabad. In his family, all were engaged in the family business of bangle making. The family lived in a half-built huts and stinky lanes. When Mukesh was asked about his aspirations in life, he said that "I will be a motor mechanic. I will learn to drive a car." It can be noted that he wanted to be his own master and do a job of his choice in his life.
