(क) पृथ्वी बच्चों के बेचैन पैरों के पास इस तरह आती है, मानो वह अपना पूरा चक्कर लगाकर आ रही हो। (ख) छतों को नरम बनाने से कवि का आशय यह है कि बच्चे छत पर ऐसी तेजी और बेफ़िक्री से दौड़ते फिर रहे हैं मानो किसी नरम एवं मुलायम स्थान पर दौड़ रहे हों, जहाँ गिर जाने पर भी उन्हें चोट लगने का खतरा नहीं है। (ग) बच्चों की पेंग भरने की तुलना के पीछे कवि की कल्पना यह रही होगी कि बच्चे पतंग उड़ाते हुए उनकी डोर थामें आगे-पीछे यूँ घूम रहे हैं, मानो वे किसी लचीली डाल को पकड़कर झूला झूलते हुए आगे पीछे हो रहे हों। (घ) इन पंक्तियों में कवि ने पतंग उड़ाते बच्चों की तीव्र गतिशीलता का वर्णन पृथ्वी के घूमने के माध्यम से और बच्चों की चंचलता का वर्णन डाल पर झूला झूलने से किया है।
