Call it innovation. Call it the tech evolution. Or the Internet of Things. Call it awesome. Or convenient. Some people call it kinda creepy.

Google is taking over our lives.

It's not anything terribly surprising. But maybe it is. Once you think about all those gloriously nerdy "moonshots" from Google and how the tech is permeating every facet of our lives, well, it adds up.

With Google's I/O developers conference this week, we have another handful of gadgets and services that sync up and make our lives so much easier. (And monitored and recorded and and potentially shared with the government, etc.).

Here's a list of Google products that illustrate what I'm getting at. Some examples (Nest, Dropcam) might outrightly bother some people more than others. Let's start with the new additions first and work our way backwards:

Nest: Google recently acquired this smart thermostat startup. Nest helps people monitor and control the temperature in their homes -- with an eye on energy savings. It gives Google a foot into technology that makes our homes smarter.

Dropcam: On behalf of Nest, Google recently purchased home-monitoring startup Dropcam. Now, Google will help you watch yourself and your friends and your family and your colleagues -- in your home or your office or wherever else you might want to install a surviellance camera.

Google Fit: Announced at I/O yesterday, this is a new suite of health-related apps for tracking fitness goals. Like other popular services, Google Fit will track every move you make and every breath you take. Well, almost.

halide - an aryl halide is an aromatic compound in which one or more hydrogen atoms, directly bonded to an aromatic ring are replaced by a halide. The haloarene are different from haloalkanes because they exhibit many differences in methods of preparation and properties.
benzene - Benzene is an organic chemical compound with the molecular formula C₆H₆. The benzene molecule is composed of six carbon atoms joined in a planar ring with one hydrogen atom attached to each. Because it contains only carbon and hydrogen atoms, benzene is classed as a hydrocarbon.
haloarene - In organic chemistry, an aryl halide (also known as haloarene) is an aromatic compound in which one or more hydrogen atoms, directly bonded to an aromatic ring are replaced by a halide.

National Income at Current Price:

It is the money value of final goods and services produced by normal residents of a country in a year, measured at the prices of the current year. For example, measurement of India’s National Income of 2013-2014 at the prices of 2013-2014.
i. It is also known as ‘Nominal National Income’.
ii. It does not show the true picture of economic growth of a country as any increase in nominal national income may be due to rise in price level without any change in physical output.
So, in order to eliminate the effect of price changes, national income is also estimated at a constant price.

National Income at Constant Price:

It is the money value of final goods and services produced by normal residents of a country in a year, measured at base year price. Base Year is a normal year which is free from price fluctuations. Presently 2004-2005 is taken as the base year in India. If we measure India’s National Income of 2013-2014 at the prices of 2004-2005, then it is termed as ‘National Income at constant price’.

i. It is also known as ‘Real National Income’.
ii. It shows the true picture of economic growth of a country as any increase in real national income is due to increase in output only.
The National Statistical Commission (NSC), has suggested to revise the base year to 2011-12 from the current base year of 2004-05 for the calculation of new Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of the country.
