Work done = e×V (e - charge on electron, V - potential difference)
Since this work is stored in the form of Kinetic energy ,
(0.5)mv² = e×V
Therefore v = [(2×e×V)÷m]^½

- Management is a Goal Oriented Process: No goal in the hand-no need of management. In other words, we need management when we have some goals to be achieved. A manager on the basis of his knowledge and experience tries to achieve the goals which are already decided. Hence, nothing is wrong to say that management is a goal oriented process.
- Management is all Pervasive: Anything minus management is nothing or zero. Here, by anything we mean all types of activities-business and non-business. If we deduct management out of these activities, the result will be failure or zero. It means management is necessary to conduct any type of activities. Hence, it is pervasive or universal.
- Management is a Group Activity: It means that it is not a single person who con-summates all the activities of an organisation but it is always a group of persons (Managers).Hence, management is a group effort.
- Management is an Intangible Force: Management is that power which cannot be seen. It can only be felt. If any organisation is heading toward higher levels of achievement, it signifies an existence of good management and vice-versa.
- Management is based on some principles which are dynamic:Principles of management are changing according to the changing business environment. For the reason that environment is dynamic, many old principles have been replaced by new ones.

The policies adopted by the British towards the Paharias were:
(i) In the 1770s the British embarked on the brutal policy of extermination, hunting the Paharias down and killing them.
(ii) By the 1780s, Augustus Cleveland, the Collector of Bhagalpur, proposed a policy of pacification.
(iii) Paharia chiefs were given an annual allowance and made responsible for the proper conduct of their men.
(iv) They were expected to maintain order in their localities and discipline their own people. Many Paharia chiefs refused the allowances, those who accepted lost authority within the community.
(v) The Paharias withdrew deep in the mountains insulating themselves from hostile forces and carrying on a war with the outsiders. The brutal repression shaped their perception of British infiltration into the area.

- As the Company worried about declining revenues, it introduced the Permanent Settlement of Bengal in 1793. It was introduced by Lord Cornwallis.
- According to this settlement, the rajas and taluqdars were recognised as the zamindars of the land. They had to collect rent from the peasants and pay the revenues to the Company.
- The amount to be paid to the Company was fixed permanently. The Company thought that this would ensure a steady and regular flow of revenues to them and would encourage the zamindar to invest in the improvement of the land.
