    Question: A parallel-plate capacitor has plate area 25.0cm2 and a separation of 2.00mm between the plates. The capacitor is connected to a battery of 12.0V. (a) Find the charge on the capacitor, (b) The plate separation is decreased to 100mm. Find the extra charge given by the battery to the positive plate.

    Plate area A = 25cm2 = 2.5 × 10–3m
    Separation d = 2mm = 2 × 10–3m
    Potential v = 12v

    (a) We know C = ε0A/d = (8.85 x 10-12 x 2.5 x 10-3)/(2 x 10-3) = 11.06 x 10-12F

    C = q/v => 11.06 x 10-12 = q/12

    => q1 = 1.32 x 10-10c

    (b) Then d = decreased to 1mm

    ∴ The extra charge given to plate = (2.65 – 1.32) × 10-10 = 1.33 × 10–10C.

    The annual meeting of Indian National Congress was being held. Raj Kumar Shukla from Champaran apprised Gandhiji of appalling conditions of share-croppers there. Gandhiji reached there. He came to know that the large estates were owned by the Englishmen and the Indians worked as their tenant farmers. They were required to pay 15% of their land yields. Gandhiji and the lawyers investigated into the grievances of the farmers. The Britishers decided that 25 per cent of the money would be refunded. The farmers became bold when they got their rights. Within a few years, the landlords relinquished their claims over the estates and the farmers became the owners.

    Gandhiji viewed the social, economic and cultural backwardness of the area. He appointed volunteers to teach the villagers. Kasturba taught the Ashram rules and personal cleanliness and community sanitation. A doctor volunteered his services for six months to improve the health conditions of the people. They realized the value of self reliance. The lawyers helped the peasants in their cases. Women offered him whole hearted support. The countrymen embarked on the task of national freedom movement. It became a turning point in Gandhiji's life (Career).

In the letter, Sam had informed Charley that he was living on the third level. He had also told Charley and his wife to keep looking for the third level. Clearly, the letter was a product of Charley’s imagination.

    Jack feels that he has been caught in an ugly middle position physically, emotionally as well as mentally. He is unable to run away from the harsh realities of his life, rather he has to accommodate himself in accordance with the prevailing conditions. He is conscious of his duties,both  as a father and as a husband. Jack is divided into two difficult situations. His efforts to make Jo fall asleep prove quite fatiguing. She keeps on interrupting him, asking for clarifications, pointing errors and suggesting alternatives. Jo is dissatisfied with the ending of the story. Jack is unable to satisfy her and put her to sleep. On the other hand, his wife Clare is doing the work of painting the living room. She is pregnant. Jack does not like that woman should take anything for granted. He likes them to be apprehensive. So he extends the story and Clare complains that he has told a long story due to which he could not help Clare. Jack feels utter weariness and does not want to speak to his wife or work with her or even touch her. He is really caught in an ugly middle position.

    Jack's daughter jo does not like the ending of the story told by him. She wants that wizard should hit back skunk's mommy. Jack cannot decide what is right. Is the mother right to decide what her child will be like? Or should the children will be allowed to shape their own lives. On the other hand he wants to finish the story quickly & go downstairs to help his wife Clare but is unable to do so. He is a loving father and a caring husband and wants to fulfil his responsibilities towards his daughter as well as his wife. So jack feels caught in an ugly middle position... I hope u will understand this answer easily.. ?
