IN DELEGATION AUTHORITY IS SHARED ONLY WITH IMMEDIATE SUBORDINATE WHEREAS IN DECENTRALISATION AUTHORITY IS DISTRIBUTED AT EVERY LEVEL OF MANAGEMENT

Gaurav Seth 6 years, 3 months ago

<th>BASIS FOR COMPARISON</th> <th>DELEGATION</th> <th>DECENTRALIZATION</th>
Meaning Delegation means handing over an authority from one person of high level to the person of low level. Decentralization is the final outcome achieved, when the delegation of authority is performed systematically and repeatedly to the lowest level.
What it is? Technique of management Philosophy of management.
Accountability Superiors are accountable for the acts done by subordinates. Department heads are accountable for the acts of the concerned department.
Requirement Yes, for all organization delegation of authority is very necessary. No, it is an optional philosophy which may or may not be adopted by the organization.
Liberty of Work Subordinates do not have full liberty. A substantial amount of freedom is there.

S is much larger atom than O, so the H–S bond is much longer and weaker than H–O; hence H2O is weaker acid than H2S. HF is stronger than H2S because the small F- ion bonds more strongly to the water molecules than does the larger HS-

  1. Sit comfortably with your spine erect. Place your hands on the knees with palms open to the sky.
  2. Take a deep breath in.
  3. As you exhale, pull your stomach. Pull your navel in back towards the spine. Do as much as you comfortably can. You may keep your right hand on the stomach to feel the abdominal muscles contract.
  4. As you relax the navel and abdomen, the breath flows into your lungs automatically.
  5. Take 20 such breaths to complete one round of Kapal Bhati Pranayama.
  6. After completing the round, relax with your eyes closed and observe the sensations in your body.
  7. Do two more rounds of Kapal Bhati Pranayama.

Current rate of flow of charge per unit time is called current and drift velocity the average velocity with which free electron move in a conductor on application of potential difference is called Drift velocity

Bhaghwan Kamble 6 years, 3 months ago

as I =neaVd So I is directly proportional to Vd

Gaurav Seth 6 years, 3 months ago

FLet l is the length of the conductor and A uniforms area of cross-section.
Therefore, the volume of the conductor = Al

If n is the number of free electrons per unit volume of the conductor, then the total number of free electrons in the conductor=A/n.

If e is the charge on each electron then total charge on all the free electrons in the conductor

Q=A/ne                                     (1)

Let a constant potential differences V is applied across the ends of the conductor with the help of a battery

The electric field set up across the conductor is given by

E=V/l

Due to this field, the free electrons present in the conductor will begin to move with a drift velocity vd towards the left hand side of the conductor.

Thus the time taken by the free electrons to cross the conductor is

t=l/vd (2)

As current I=q/t                                                     (3)

By substituting equation (1) and (2) in equation (3),

We get

I=Alne/l/vd

Or                                      I=Anevd (4)

Since A,n and e are constant

I∞vd

Hence the current flowing through a conductor is directly proportional to the drift velocity.

Explanation and Example. In a conductor there are large number of free electrons. When we close the circuit , the electric field is established in the circuit with the speed of electromagnetic wave which causes electron drift at every portion of the circuit. Due to which the current is set up in the entire circuit instantly .The current thus set up does not wait for the electrons to flow from one end of the conductor to another end. It is due to this reason, the electric bulb glows immediately when switch is on.

 Mukund Padmanabhan from The Hindu interviewed Umberto Eco. During the interview, Umberto does not show any irritation or despises any questions. He freely answers the queries like V.S. Naipaul and he does not consider it as an unwarranted intrusion into one’s life. He is quite modest and considerate while giving every answer. When Mukund asks him how he can do all the things, Eco answers that he is always doing the same thing though to some it may look like he is doing many things. Like Rudyard Kipling, Eco does not think the act of interviewing as immoral, criminal or an assault to an individual.  He cooperates with Mukund and shows interest in all the questions put to him. H.G.Wells feels that interviewing is a sort of an ordeal but Eco is happy with it and he also expresses his ‘philosophical interests’ to Mukund. He tells the secret of his work which is his ability to work in empty spaces. He Is humble about the utmost success of his novel, 'The  Name of the Rose’ and he even tells about the sale and other facts put to him by Padmanabhan. Thus Umberto Eco does not present any sort of dislike at being interviewed.
