Gas +solid------------->gas/solid +heat Thus , according to le chatlier's principle on increasing temperature the reaction proceeds in backward direction and favours "desorption". And on decreasing temperature the reaction shifts in backward direction and favours "Adsorption"of gas on solid.

Rakshit Verma 6 years, 3 months ago

In physisorption the adsorbents make weak vaan der vaal forces with adsorbate which broke with increase in temperature

Yogita Ingle 6 years, 3 months ago

Adsorption is an exothermic process. Heat is releases whenever molecules are adsorbed on the surface. So, rate of adsorption decreases whenever temperature is increases. This due to the fact that, when temperature is increases, the kinetic energy of adsorbed molecules gets increased and they overcome the electrostatic force of attraction by the adsorbent surface.

The crystal field theory is highly useful and more significant as compared to the valence bond theory. Even after such useful properties, it has many limitations. The following points will clearly state the limitations of crystal field theory:

  1. The assumption that the interaction between metal-ligand is purely electrostatic cannot be said to be very realistic.
  2. This theory takes only d-orbitals of a central atom into account. The s and p orbits are not considered for the study.
  3. The theory fails to explain the behaviour of certain metals which cause large splitting while others show small splitting. For example, the theory has no explanation as to why H2O is a stronger ligand as compared to OH.
  4. The theory rules out the possibility of having p bonding. This is a serious drawback because is found in many complexes.
  5. The theory gives no significance to the orbits of the ligands. Therefore it cannot explain any properties related to ligand orbitals and their interaction with metal orbitals.

Semiconductors : In case of insulators and semiconductors, the relaxation time τ does not change with temperature but the number density of free electrons increases exponentially with the increase in temperature. Consequently, the conductivity increases or resistivity decreases exponentially with the increase in temperature.

The resistivity of a semiconductor decreases rapidly with increasing temperature.

The mechanism by which an organism obtains oxygen from the air and releases carbon dioxide is called breathing.

The respiration takes place inside the cells of the body so it is known as cellular respiration. The energy released during cellular respiration is immediately used to synthesize a molecule called ATP which is used to fuel all other activities in the cell. In these processes, ATP is broken down giving rise to a fixed amount of energy which can drive the endothermic reactions taking place in the cell.

Diffusion is insufficient to meet the oxygen requirements of large multicellular organisms like humans because the volume of the human body is so big that the oxygen cannot diffuse into all the cells of the human body quickly and oxygen will have to travel large distances to reach each and every cell of the body.

Large organisms contain a respiratory pigment called haemoglobin which carries the oxygen from the lungs to all the body cells very efficiently.
A terrestrial animal has an advantage over an aquatic animal in regard to obtaining oxygen for respiration that it is surrounded by an oxygen rich atmosphere from where it can take any amount of oxygen.

Business basically creates three types of utility:
1.  Form utility: It is created by changing the raw materials into final goods.
2. Place utility : It is created when goods are transported from one place to another.
3. Time utility : When goods are stored in warehouses so that they can be used later creates time utility.

Bernier describe mughal cities as camp towns which were depend on imperial camp for their existence and survival. Imperial camp refers to those camps where ruling elites were there who were depend on imperial support i.e rulers support, their geographical area or ruling area is not fixed as when imperial court moved in they came into existence as they imperial court moved out their area rapidly declined.

Yogita Ingle 6 years, 3 months ago

Around 15% of the total population during the 17th century lived in the towns. This figure (15%) on average was even larger than the proportion of people inhabiting urban centers in Western Europe during the same period. Bernier uses the term "Camp Town" to describe these urban centers; meaning that these towns owed their permanence and were dependent on the imperial camps. He argues that these camps (towns) emerged with the move in of the imperial court and declined with the move out of the imperial courts. Furthermore, he intimated that these camps did not have a viable economic and social base but were subservient on royal patronage.

lets see how this answer comes. So we have to find dy/dx when, y= log(sinx) dy/dx = 1/sinx × cosx dy/dx= cosx/sinx dy/dx= cotx

Cot x

Harsh Mishra 6 years, 3 months ago

dy/dx = d {log(sin x)} /dx = cosx / sinx = cot x [As diff. of log t = 1/t and diff. of sinx = cos x, that's why, by chain rule d{log(sinx)} /dx = cotx ]
