Types of endurance according to nature of the activity. 1). Basic endurance - the ability to perform movements in which large no.of body muscles are involved and the activity is performed for the slow pace for longer duration. 2). General - it enables the sportsperson to perform different activity for a long duration wihout getting tired. 3). Special- the ability to resist fatigue caused by the specific or particular sports activity. Types of endurance according to duration of activity. 1). Speed endurance - the ability to resist fatigue in activities lasting upto 45 second. 2). Short term- the ability to resist fatigue in activities lasting upto 45 seconds to 2 minutes. 3). Middle term- the ability to resist fatigue in activities lasting upto 2minutes to 11 minutes. 4). Long term - the ability to resist fatigue in activities lasting more than 11 minutes.
