The elements which have same mass but diff. atomic no. are called isobars.

Yogita Ingle 6 years ago

Isobar is that element which differs in the chemical property but has the same physical property. So, we can say that isobars are those elements which have a different atomic number but the same mass number. Their chemical property is different because there is a difference in the number of electrons. It has the same atomic mass but different atomic no. Because an additional number of neutrons compensates the difference in the number of nucleons.

Example:

40S, 40Ar, 40Ca. 40Cl, and 40K.

It is the simplest type of electrochemical cell in which zinc rod is placed in a solution of zn S o4 and copper metal is immersed in a solution of copper sulphate the two metals are connected by metallic wire and by inverted U tube containing Semi solid paste of either Potassium Chloride or ammonium chloride this arrangement is called Salt Bridge as a result of two half cell reaction Zinc metal dissolves in endnote solution as the reaction progresses copper begins weight where is zinc rod loses weight since electrons are released at anode it requires negative polarity and cathode becomes positive because it needs electrons of the reduction positive ions

Diffusion of gas molecules occur at the surface of catalyst (solid) followed by adsorption. In the same way, the product formed diffuse from the surface of the catalyst leaving the - surface free for more reactant molecules to get adsorbed and undergo reaction.

Electrochemistry important topic ohms.law ........you know it .......conductance just the reciprocal of resistance........ how we measure conductance by wheatstone Bridge method is important ........molar conductivity which is the conducting power of all the ions produced by dissolving one gram mole of an electrolyte between electrodes placed 1 cm apart .......limiting molar conductivity.......when concentration approaches zero you must remember kohlraush law and its application........ Daniel cell very important....... the use of Salt Bridge which is basically UTube joining the the circuit filled with KCL agor agor jelly........ but remember it doesn't mean that we can use anything inside Salt Bridge .......the mobility of both anions and cations should be same ........ it is obvious whenever we have to measure anything we use a standard .........similarly to measure electrode potential we use a standard which is called standard hydrogen electrode if conditions are 1m concentration temperature at 298 Kelvin 1 bar pressure........ how to measure cell potential and go through nurst equation .......Faraday's law very very important ...........the amount of any substance liberated at the electrode is directly proportional to the quantity of electricity passing through the electrolyte very easy........ remember dry cell ...............Mercury cell......... fuel cell corrosion .....galvanisation

The telescope is used to provide angular magnification of distant objects. The objective has a large focal length and a much larger aperture than the eyepiece because object is very far away. Light from a distant object enters the objective and a real and inverted image is formed at its second focal point.
