I think the answer is 11 since neopentyl chloride is 1-chloro 2,2-dimethylpropane.Primary hydrogen is the one which is attached to primary carbon(carbon attached to another single carbon) and here there are 9 primary hydrogen atoms in the three CH3 groups surrounding a carbon + two hydrogen atoms attached to the CH2 group attached to Cl and one carbon.

  • Since, one complete turn of the double helix has 10 base pairs, 6 coils of DNA will have 10x6= 60 base pairs.

DNA has four bases; two purines and two pyrimidines; purines are namely adenine and guanine and the pyrimidines are cytosine, thymine. Adenine in one DNA strand makes two hydrogen bonds with thymine in other DNA strand and guanine makes three hydrogen bonds with cytosine.

  • According to Chargaff’s rule, in all cellular DNAs, regardless of the species, the number of adenosine residues is equal to the number of thymidine residues which means that A = T; and the number of guanosine residues is equal to the number of cytidine residues; G = C.
  • According to the question, there are 22 base pairs with two hydrogen bonds which mean that out of total 60 base pairs in that DNA segment, the number of A-T pairs is 22; the number of adenine = 22 and the number of thymine = 22; A+T = 44, which makes options A and C wrong.

Thus, number of G-C pairs = 60-22 = 38; number of guanine = 38 and number of cytosine = 38; option B is correct.

Raoult's law (/ˈrɑːuːlz/ law) is a law of thermodynamics established by French chemist François-Marie Raoult in 1887. It states that the partial pressure of each component of an ideal mixture of liquids is equal to the vapour pressure of the pure component multiplied by its mole fraction in the mixture.

Development is a mixed bag of opportunities as well as neglect and deprivations
for India:
(i)There are a few areas like the metropolitan centres and other developed enclaves that have all the modern facilities available to a small section of its population.
(ii)At the other extreme of it, there are large rural areas and the slums in the urban areas that do not have basic amenities like potable water, education and health infrastructure available to majority of this population.
(iii)The situation is more alarming if one looks at the distribution of the development opportunities among different sections of our society. It is a wellestablished fact that majority of the scheduled castes, scheduled tribes, landless agricultural labourers, poor farmers and slums dwellers, etc. are the most marginalised lot.
(iv)A large segment of female population is the worst sufferers among all. It is also equally true that the relative as well as absolute conditions of the majority of these marginalised sections have worsened with the development happening over the years.
(v)Consequently, vast majority of people are compelled to live under abject poverty and subhuman conditions.
