Franz was a boy who lived in the district of Alsace. He studied in one of the schools in Alsace. He was not fond of attending school and studying. He liked the out world more than the environment of the school. Learning French was something he never gave much importance to. He was scared of his French teacher M. Hamel. The time when the people of Alsace came to know that as per the new law, German would be taught in the school in the place of French, he experienced a different feeling for French altogether. Apart from being surprised, he felt sorry for himself for not paying attention while studying French. He was very disappointed and sorry to attend the last lesson of French in his school.

M. Hamel was a true French man. Teaching at Alsace for forty years, he had become a part of its people. He was an honest teacher. He did not blame his students alone for poor learning. He also held himself responsible for the same. He was very patriotic as he appealed to his countrymen to hold fast to their mother tongue to be free from the Prussians. According to him the French language was the most beautiful, the clearest and the most logical language in the world. He urged on his countrymen to guard it and never forget it. He was deeply attached to the school and all his students. However, he was very brave and strong. He was really regretful for not making sincere efforts to teach French to his countrymen. At the end, he became so emotional that he could not speak.

Franz noticed that the school was unusually quiet. Usually, there was a great commotion of the opening and closing of desks, of lessons repeated in unison, and the teacher's huge ruler rapping on the table. But that particular day, it was as quiet as Sunday morning.

Moles = Weight / Molar mass
Moles of NaCl = 5.85 g / (58.5 g/mol) = 0.1 mole
Moles of H₂O = 90 g / (18 g/mol) = 5.0 mole
Mole fraction of NaCl = (Moles of NaCl) / (Total number of moles in solution)
= (Moles of NaCl) / (Moles of NaCl + Moles of H₂O)
= 0.1 mole / (0.1 mole + 5.0 mole)
= 0.1 / 5.1
= 1 / 51
Mole fraction of NaCl in solution is 1 / 51

Features of Social Movement
- Requires sustained collective action over time. Such action is often directed against the state and takes the form of demanding changes in state policy or practice.
- Collective action must be marked by some degree of organisation. This organisation may include a leadership and a structure that defines how members relate to each other, make decisions and carry them out.
- Those participating in a social movement also have shared objectives and ideologies. A social movement has a general orientation or way of approaching to bring about (or to prevent) change.
- These defining features are not constant. They may change over the course of a social movement’s life.
- Social movements cannot change society easily. Since it goes against both entrenched interests and values, there is bound to be opposition and resistance. But over a period of time changes do take place.

- The black soil area in the peninsular plateau is called the Deccan Trap.
- This is formed by volcanic activities, so the rocks are igneous.
- These rocks have been denuded over time and are responsible for the formation of the black soil. Due to continuous flow of lava an extensive lava plateau has been formed known as Deccan Trap.
- The Aravalis lie on the western and north-western margins of the peninsular plateau.
- These are highly eroded hills and are found as broken hills.

The walls of the colour is “sour cream” that suggests of white but it has a sour smell. It exhibits the depression, dejection and disappointment on the faces of slum school children. These walls suggest the decaying aspect and thereby the slum children are too in the pitiable as well as miserable state of affairs. They need the attention of the civilized people.
